Reading from the begining till the curent chapter, I'm impressed with how with a little bit of common sense and a bit of pragmatism boost, you can actually make myne actualy a likeable character while still retaining her charecteristic. Not even a massive change or anything like that. Good job dude.
Tbh kinda dropped the series cuz most of the antagonists are a bunch of idiots andincompetent.
Btw are those girls(from game?vn?ln?) actualy a bunch of reincanators or just some random character from another series?
Can't wait how or what exactly the king and the queen working or scheming togheters. Seems like they're implied to be working and scheming togheter.

Nice chapter. Waiting for next chapter. I always wondered though if every weapon is not available to shield hero. If it's intent based or just list of weapons. If he goes arifureta route and makes a fucking tank or a gun how it would affect his class.

Ooh. Everything is lining up nicely. 3 on 1 with only the Shield Hero actually knowing his class will be quite the show. Everything is pointing to Naofumi thinking the Queen set him up and was an abusive mother to Mein as partial revelations get revealed one by one.

This trail should have some serious consequences for the King. In the medieval world everything came down to Rights. Wars were started over who had a right to certain territories and titles. Conflicts between the throne and the nobility was a result of clashes between the rights the king held and the rights the nobility has. Lots of riots and rebellions occurred because the merchants guilds and peasantry felt that their rights were being infringed on. Yes, this is the Shield Demon but more than a few people are going to recognize the uncomfortable precedent being created of the king being able to randomly call an enemy forward and fling accusation after accusation and even event new crimes in an attempt to ruin a rival.
Naofumi and his party are going to need to lay low after this. And Malty happens to know that a nearby kingdom is currently in the midst of a power struggle, needs protection and is laking any form of central leadership. Plenty of noble adventures/mercenaries in our own world were able to forge a realm out of a situation like that and for someone as ambitious as Malty the prospect of a power base completely independent of her mother would have her salivating.

I dare say that yes, Aultclay has gone senile. No matter how much the Pope influenced him in doing this stunt, the Queen will eat him alive for it. On the other hand, Malty will look much better, especially if Naofumi wins.
For the Heroes... I dare say that as of this chapter the Heroes who need to have their worthiness questioned are Motoyasu and Itsuki: Motoyasu for the sheer stupidity and getting himself manipulated into this, and Itsuki for the stunt in Stormwind. Though I wonder how much of it was advice from the knightly bully-even manga!Malty questioned the wisdom of what he and the others of the Bow party were doing to Rishia, if only due pragmatism.
Seriously, of the other Heroes only Amagi came out well, and that was mostly because he was either thinking before exposing himself or was shocked into silence by the sheer absurdity of the situation... And I haven't forgot his mess with the dragon.

Fabulous. You managed to handle court talk well, though if I might add, while understandable in genre to include references to characters like Katarina, it does throw me through a loop every time I read her name. If I may suggest, do similar names with an Author's note to those who didn't get it, but it is your story so you don't have to.
Good to see Malty caring about others, perhaps she just needed a little sister who wasn't meant to be her replacement to see her humanity towards others.
Lautrec is probably my favorite of the new party members (not counting Malty of course), as he's a real character. Slithering up, threatening death, tons of fun.
Bow boy has been busy, and probably creating actions which will bite him in the ass pretty severely later.
Does Naofumi have a new party member coming up? Hopefully, cute girls are always a plus.

To be honest, Malty should've seen this coming, seeing as she knows her father and his style of schemes better than probably anyone else. It was very obvious. But, on the flip side, with some of the people he surrounds himself with, you'd think there'd be some better judgement in what he does.
Go Shield Bro, kick their asses, specifically Spear and Bow.

Well, my knowledge from reading all of those Villainess stories are paying off! Also thank you so much for adding much-needed dimensions to a story with many flat characters and characters that barely went through an arc. The setting and inner court politics are feeding my intrigue. I am so happy since I usually only get this from GoT fanfics. Good Luck with the next chapter!
