Does anyone else get the feeling, “Let it out” from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood should be playing at the end of this chapter, during the Sayaka and Makoto hug?

Jeewheeze— Just when I thought Sayaka's past couldn't get any darker.
I'm curious whether she can really keep her promise to Makoto. I'm starting to doubt that she would tho.
Anyways, glad to see you're back again. After all that has happened, I'm always looking forward for your next updates and story projects!

I just read the whole thing in one go, and I have a few things I'd like to talk about, so sorry if this review gets long!
First, I want to say that I love this alternate idea of having Maizono's plan fall through, in a different way than the game, I mean. It's been very interesting to see how Maizono, and to a lesser extent Kuwata, would have continued to act if she had survived that far, for her plan to fail and not result in her murder is an inspired premise and I've enjoyed reading it so far!
I also really love this interpretation of Maizono's character, it feels very unique and at the same time very in character! Naegi does have that kind of sweet boy charm to him that clashes very well with Maizono's expectations and insecurities, seeing her get jealous over him talking to Kirigiri, Enoshima/Ikusaba, and Hina is very compelling and natural coming from someone used to being fake and getting what she wants. I'm not doing your characterization justice with this review, but it's very inspired, hats off to you!
I'm a touch disappointed that Ikusaba didn't manage to make it through the first trial again, her interactions with Naegi and the others was very interesting, but the way it played out is actually very fitting and makes 100% sense. I love how you used Oogami being the mole as that motivation, while it sucks to lose her so early, it is realistic within the game's canon and I can respect and appreciate that.
The other character I want to talk about is Kuwata, since this is his first time making it this far too. Maybe I'm a bit biased, because I quite like him, but I'm a little underwhelmed by his importance to the overall story, especially since he was still Maizono's choice to kill, I would've thought that would play a bigger role, since we see so much of her inner monologue. There's a bit, but not much, and while I get he's not the focus of the story, because he's technically a new element, it would be nice to explore him a bit more. What you have done with him is great, I love how he's completely oblivious to Maizono's intentions, but I just feel like there could be a bit more.
Overall, this is a really good story that I'm enjoying so far! With the next motive popping up (honestly, Maizono cannot catch a break here, huh?) I'm very interested in knowing what will happen next! I'm curious, since you seem to be following game canon as much as possible, if having Maizono or Kuwata will in anyway impact the second case. I suppose time will tell! I look forward to it!

Thank Kami for TVTropes! I saw this on AO3, I saw chapter 6/6, I thought you're done with and but then I found the TVTropes page for it and found that it's continued here. I missed it the first time because some idiot decided that Danganronpa fics will have two different sections and I missed the second one(even though it was bigger).
Excellent job on portraying Sayaka as the emotional clusterfuck the killer game turned her into. Really feels how much toll the situation takes on her. Makoto needing time to forgive her was also well done. I was wondering what kind of secret will she have. We always knew that she had some dark past, but unfortunately the game never went into details. I have a feeling that it's something akin to Daiya's death. Not really Mondo's fault but he still blames himself.
Looking forward to seeing more

And here I thought Junko would use the fact that Sayaka nearly started the Killing Game by stabbing Makoto in an attempt to murder Leon as her dark secret.

Well that was ominous... I'm dreading what's gonna happen next. Something might break and it probably won't look good.
On another note. Updating your stories and also a new one up?! You spoil me. xD Glad to see updates from you.

Just found this story, and while it is a familiar concept, I can tell it's going to be really good! I think you're capturing the emotions very well so far, and I'm very compelled by the relationship and dynamic you've already set up! Obviously I'm writing this for the prologue, so I really can't wait to dive into the other chapters you've already written!

An enjoyable story so far, I just binged the entire thing and really enjoyed it. I'm enjoying seeing both Sayaka and Makoto's prespective as it works well for the story. Glad to see you also can handle writing all the characters well, the one who's acting a bit more different than usual seems to be Togami but he was always very hostile in the beginning of the game. The bigger negative is if Togami completely refuses to engage Makoto at all, chances are he's likely to end up murdering someone eventually.
