You have a very specific talent at writing two incredibly intelligent individuals having an extremely awkward coffee 'date'.
The dialogue was smart and vibrant. And I loved the inner monologues of them both. Neurotic messes setting plants on fire and narrowly missing old men's heads.

Your detailed, tangent-filled, and breakneck speed of Hermione's inner workings is brilliant and very well-rounded. It is giving tremendous weight to her character for this reader. I have enjoyed this first chapter and look forward to my continued reading.

I quite enjoyed this. Thank you for sharing it with us. It's very well written. And I can picture a smirk class, with the end-of-course final exam complete with top-student prize. The top student wins 7 years of Snape's "blind eye" towards crap behavior as long as it's aimed at Slytherin's enemies.
