Rilla must have been extremely drunk to see anything in Chad, he is a shocker. She’s got fat! The Chad - honestly. Mind you he could have referred to himself as the Chadster which would have been more obnoxious. Though wasn’t an election decided by hanging chads back in the day?
And now Mark, they certainly want to paint her as a slut don’t they. The flower thing is ridiculous, I wasn’t there but I heard ... ie I have nothing of importance to say but I can speculate.

That is such a trash-magazine move to show the photos of Rilka and Persis...but of course from the next day. That is manipulation by definition!
It’s so interesting to see these news updates all in one shot. From Ken and Rilla being ‘so close,’ to her going after his brother, and then back to marrying Ken. This crap changes faster than the tide!

I'm so glad that the movement made its way to Rilla, and even better, she responded to it. For Di to arrange a meeting was even more incredible.
Funny, as I was reading this I thought to myself, "she is really setting herself up good for the duties of being a Royal," and then The Princess with a Cause was read. I'm not sure if it's her years of being close to the royal family or perhaps Rilla is really coming into her own self. I'd be interested to know if the idea to reach out was *suggested* to her or her own idea.
Regardless, she's a sweetie!

I'm imagining future ToF chapters of crazy royal wedding planning. For both of the royal weddings I've been amazed by how many details can be secured in such a short time. It's a good thing Rilla is a marvel party planner!

I didn’t mean to snoop but as I was googling at the airport while waiting for my flight to the Riviera Maya ( Spring Break, baby, and thankfully the COVID-19 virus has not caught up to us here, yet. ) I noticed you were seeking fashion advice. Well, I believe I can tell you on authority where upper middle class East Coast college students like to shop.
J Crew and Madewell have been popular for awhile and have flagship stores in NYC. For prepsters, Vineyard Vines is huge. ( I live on the Main Line and that store is VERY popular. It started out big online and expanded stores over the last few years. As for department stores, Bloomingdales is popular and believe it or not, we love Target! Rich trendy kids in 2011 would probably shop at Barneys ( just went out of business). Btw: I’m definitely not rich and paid for my SB trip myself by hostessing in a restaurant.
Anyway, I’m not a good reviewer but I do know retail so had to say something!

You ladies sure do make me HATE the media and question every little report. Ever notice how much nonsense floats about on Facebook? Or perhaps it's just my small circle posting random articles (or rants) regarding the politics of mid-Western Canada! How much of it is real...I do wonder.
Anyway, I feel badly for our Rilla. It seems that with the media, you can only ignore it all and put your best food forward.
DW.618 did a wonderful job on the parent perspective of this all. I imagine it'd be extremely difficult. They're an ocean apart from each other. And, we know how easily Anne has bristled in the past. She's the type to blow her lid. That'd be such an interesting third back-story; how the Blythes are handling it all. I can just picture Anne venting to Gilbert over it all.

These chapters of both ToF and RC have me conjuring up memories of when the paps shot those topless photos of Kate. I can’t quite remember if it was their honeymoon or just a Caribbean break...but that was deplorable!
I think probably most of us ladies have stories. My own from my step-father who asked me to cover up in the summer so I wouldn’t look like a *insert a derogatory word for promiscuous teen.* I was 13 and developed early - had absolutely no reason not to wear my broad-strap tanktop other then because it apparently made me desirable. I’ll never forget that moment of losing my argument and throwing a hoodie on in 30.

The "Rilla is an immoral, slutty, and disease-filled wannabe who is a threat to society at large and to the Royal Family in specific" side versus the "this is 2014 and women are not the only responsible ones in a mutual relationship so leave Rilla alone" side of the media coverage. I hate that the one article kept dragging Persis into this (calling her "Princess Pudgy" and blaming her for wearing pantihose). And...really? The idea that Rilla should be required to submit the results of her sexual health tests to the media? (If that is required for her, why isn't the media requiring Toppy and Ken's past girlfriends to release their test results...or just have Ken release his own?) BTW - I *loved* the transcript of the conversation between Presenters 1 & 2!

Very good selection of angles for these press stories. After sharing with us the media coverage of Rilla for all of these months, it would be boring if it was ONLY about her clothes. Including the Hew/Toppy relationship, the comparison of Oxford to Croyden, the very logical and smart H&M marketing strategy, and the #RoyallyServed tweets was really good in this chapter! Of course, I want Rilla (or Ken!) to legally attack the press to stop calling her a prostitute. But I also cannot imagine that Marcia's business will succeed after Rilla quits. Plus, to have a member of Marcia's staff providing information to the press about Rilla's backroom conversation with Tony and Mark (the two smiling male guests...I guess that staff didn't realize that these are two of Ken's best friends!) - that sort of lack of confidentiality will/should make other prominent clients fear to hire Marcia's company. Looking forward to your next installment...with the fallout from Mexico Guy.

I have a very hard time believing there is any situation where the Prince of Wales would not marry in his own country, probably at Westminster Abbey. So, I read the first article thinking, 'Wow, what a load of bleep'. But, I wonder what friend it was that confirmed the discrete relationships between Jerry and others. They're pulling this out of thin air, but somehow hitting some points. It was rather interesting on the whole what will be said to sell papers, and, how nothing is off-limits.
