I'm fairly sure his mother is more terrifying than half of the Fairy Tail cast. Wow. I'm still somewhat unimpressed with his imagination, but hey. Whatever works.
Just an idle muse but didn't Mavis Vermillion use Illusion Magic and create some girl? Lifelike as hell too? Either that or I'm confusing magics.

When I see someone complain about underappreciated magics I gotta say...
Illusions are not good? What is this OC smoking and where do I find it? Aizen was all about illusion. He can easily refine himself and try to get to that level. I'm fairly sure that illusions are underused in Fairy Tail, Laxus seemed to not recognize he was fighting illusions with Mystogan/Jellal until it was at the end.
He learns how to use a sword? Use a subtle illusion in which the blade goes one way and slash with the other. Small "cantrips" like that? Overpowered. Especially in a universe based on Shounen and Guts with Friendship.
Also, Itachi was terrifying enough with an illusion. Who's to say a magic can't develop? Fairy Tail verse is all about growth. I do not believe that magics, once made, remain the same until the end of time.
But Yeah, damn, that OC be unfrateful. Time to read the rest, hue.

I say Bishop should try to develop his magic to the peak, I mean technically when we speak of Illusion it's not just forms of vivid images or senses, it's also philosophical and preceptions, there's a lot of thing that can be applied there

I think I would pull it of in a grimdark story, or possibly not. Either way; Strauss siblings, maybe Elfman won’t be a manly man, and maybe Mira won’t be a girly girl. Happy is coming and maybe Bishop can find a way to prevent the whole Edolas thing that involved Lisanna. Or maybe not, let it be what it must be.

I liked this chapter. The world-building and introducing the canon characters to progress the plot made it fun to read, plus there's more stuff to look forward to.

You know if You make his mastery of illusion absolute you could affect reality, the philosophy of reality is an illusion unto itself combined with magic can make some terrifying shit
Examples are the Mist Flames of Khr and Beeetlejuice

A Smile is weird? this Fic is weird, it's giving me weird taste
let me point out why:
firstly, it's very well written, the plot is good, the setting writing is good, and so far the grammars are also good, on technical side this fic is very nice
on the other hand, the theme is a bit cliche, the character is cliche making him predictable, and at times I think you're just trying to force him to become a sociopath but failed
now this result in my conclusion of me giving this fic the 70/30
70 cause it's still a very original Fairytail fic

I happen to really enjoy this story, the development of bishop is great, as well as the development of the main cast, I like the alternative turns on the universebecause of bishop as well, really makes the story yours.
