It seems to me that using weapons of an unknown type and design in training matches, as well as defeating a supposedly "invincible" student, are contrary to the goal of infiltrating Beacon and put the mission at risk of failure. Their goal was not to fly into Beacon students by kicking the door open, but to blend in with the crowd as much as possible. They could have won a couple of fights, lost a couple, and shown that they were an ordinary student, maybe a little stronger than average. Even if they wanted to stand out, they could have simply given a decent but losing fight to Pyrrha, there was no need to give her a brutal rout, especially using completely unknown devices that bear little resemblance to an ordinary hunter's weapon. What Wise is doing is a clear disregard for the successful completion of the mission. She should be punished for something like this.

Well room for one more eh? Neo, Phyrra, Jaune, or Sun I’d say. We’ve got neo who’s about to be down 1 Roman but I can’t see you having her follow John with Roman behind bars or dead… and we already did the Stockholm syndrome thing with Blake
Phyrra, so humbled and willing to grow? Now just a bit of bitterness and a touch of reality to ground her ambitions.
Jaune, so desperate for any kind of real training and willing to take any chance to be a hero?
Or sun, the lovable idiot who would follow Blake into hell if she gave him a wink?
Perhaps the final member will be someone we haven’t met yet, I guess I’ll have to see what the next chapter brings.

I have a feeling Neo and Roman will be quite the buddy buddy with Chief. Also idk what will happen wih Pyrrha now; will she be happy? Creeped out how cold the tactics are? Chief could utilize some more manpower especially with someone as malleable as JNPR. Pyrrha is already skilled, Jaune is a blank canvas, Nora and Ren will most likely follow suit.

I feel Neo is joining, you put a lot of detail effort into her introduction meeting with John, plus her abilities are too useful for infiltration and espionage. So for maybe Roman Freedom, I maybe can see Neo was part of Roman Negotiation and working for Chief if we're going down this route.
I'll be frank as Chief is putting the team together, i do feel the story is a bit dry as it does feel like its going TOO well since Cinder is out of the picture.

Another good chapter Weiss folded Pyrrha like a lawn chair, Chief doing chief things and forgot Cinder was killed already, there goes the fall maiden and now he gonna bring Torchwick and Neo in or maybe make some kinda deal in the next chapter cause him being a theft ain't all that bad he was just being controlled by Cinder but since she died he can just steal for fun again.
