This barely made sense in canon, but is just about explained but Izuku being injured.
Here Izuku is apparently simply incompetent, despite having an advantage of magic, he still manages to be beat by at least one student who should realistically score at the level of a base human.

I love the Crack levels that Agony can achieve. sometimes he's really helpful for midoryia, and other times he's killing me with laughter. kudos my man, for making a comic relief character thats actually good, unlike the usual trash that has told the world actual garbage like mineta is ok and funny. kudos indeed
