What a brilliant idea for an accompanying piece to ‘Icheb’s birthday’. There were so many incidents in canon that were whitewashed over, such as Naomi’s birth, which would have left their mark on those involved. You handled this very sensitively and I’m glad that Samantha and Naomi can now acknowledge Naomi’s identical twin sister’s existence.
I’ll definitely check out monkee’s story as you suggest.
Thanks so much for fleshing out Voyager’s “peripheral” characters and giving them the depth to their characters that they so richly deserve.

This was amazing. I actually cried thinking about Samantha mourning her lost child and then to be given the gift of another child, who was the same but not. The conversation with Icheb and Verit was just perfect. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. (And I will check out the recommended story.)
