I quit. (again? )
I'm tired of hearing about "the ice queen". Like some godd*mn*d thirteen year old even matters what they think, say, or do, let alone have that for a reputation already. Maybe as a seventeen year old, I'd believe it. Or 30! She hasn't put in the time as a third year to be called that.

So, where are the repercussions on Fudge for ANOTHER dementor attack? He 'gave his word',i for whatever that's worth. About a knut. Where's the vote of no confidence in the Wizengamut?

Corner mentioned upcoming exams. It's Halloween! Tests? Mid-semester, ordinary, regular tests? O.k. Exams are end of semester (or quarter) in college, and end of the YEAR in high school. No one has an exam to study for anywhere near Halloween.
(ok, Hermione might be already planning her NEXT semester, spring study schedule, but she's a swot, and no one cares)

You know, if dementors make YOU relive YOUR worst memories then Harry's memories could only be through HIS eyes. Nothing downstairs with James and Voldemort. No bad guy coming up the stairs. His only view would be of his mother, and then the confrontation before she was killed. In his room. From his crib. Looking up at the 'big' people. He could HEAR everything going on downstairs, but his view is still from the crib.
Similarly, and unrelated here, when people go into pensieve memories, there wouldn't be any 'image' on the 180 degree opposite side when you 'walk around' inside the memory.

Are we forgetting that Dumbledore KNOWS Sirius didn't betray James and Lily, and that he has perpetuated the myth of Sirius' guilt by NOT saying something?!

Maybe not a plot 'hole', more like annoying pothole in the road...
Hagrid would not have Sirius' bike BEFORE arriving at Godric's Hollow. If Sirius had ridden the bike to James' house, THEN he could have given it to Hagrid, in order to transport Harry (Canon). There is NO good reason that Hagrid has that bike, beforehand. (and LESS reason that Hagrid knew to even go there, but THAT'S on Dumbledore, for setting up the Potters to die)
