Okay I'm pausing for a second to comment on just how neat it is, what you've done with Kallen/Rei, especially regarding the whole memory thing? I know they're the same person, but it's like, in those certain moments, Rei is speaking or acting through Kallen. The way this all works feels so real and believable. Also personal to me (and why I enjoy this fic so much), because I sometimes feel like there are different versions of me having moments that are uncanny for me and I realize what I've said or done is a different part of me, and it's happening more and more as I uncover and integrate with those parts of me that were fractured, and that's how I see Kallen right now. The more she faces her past, the more her old self comes through, like playing archeologist with your own memory and identity. And I want to thank you for that. I feel like I'm not literally fucking insane. Kallen makes me feel seen.

Damn. This doesn't even feel like fanfic. The OCs are really interesting and so is the premise! I'll admit there were a few parts that had me dying of laughter, like Kallen saying, "wild" in response to Rise pointing out that Jack is looking her way.
