I know just a little about the original work but this seems very promising.
Having Kazuma being able to focus more on himself and also get some help from his team, instead of trying to herd and protect the overly powerful but even more incompetent girls could be interesting :)
That being said it's not like this story have to be truly serious, but just moving him along the power ladder quicker is very interesting approach and I'm rooting for a certain young goddess now :-D

I like this so far, it’s a fairly straightforward idea but I only hope you don’t take too many liberties with the themes of the show/make it seem like one of those old Naruto ‘bashing’ fanfics and keep it leaning more on the comedic side rather than get overly edgy with it.
And also not remove Megumin and Darkness from the Kazu-Squad.

Hmm, I can see some potential with this. How about this being an inverse party type with Kazuma with a more "competent" party, like having Wiz, Yunyun, and Chris (and maybe even Iris, if you plan on including her)

You mean skill points instead of xp right? Also, because Chris didn't mention it, you are aware that when adventurers learn skills they're weaker then the class that learns the skill- for example if a thief used "detect enemy" it'll be stronger then if an adventurer used it. Also RIP Mitsumargimini, you were kind of a dick but not really a bad person. Looking forward to more!

I really like where this fic is going so far. Chris is one of my favorite characters (even forgetting spoilers!) and I was always disappointed on how she barely got the spotlight in the series—and in the LN, for that matter. Hopefully she’ll play a much larger role in this fic, especially since the deuteragonist-shaped hole Aqua left is gonna be tough to fill.
I would’ve liked to see a bit more of the Konosuba comedy we know and love in this first chapter. The first part with Aqua and Miyogi was great, but the rest of the chapter seemed a bit lacking. Maybe Kazuma and Chris had *too* easy of an encounter with the giant toads, if you know what I’m saying? Or maybe they could’ve had some friendly sarcasm and banter in their dialogue, which was one of my favorite elements in their LN dynamic.
That said, I’m really excited to read the next chapter of your story, and I hope I didn’t bore you too hard with my ramblings!
