I was cackling like mad at this chapter! While I'm sure Tsunade was worried about Shikako and Sasuke being affected by the seal, as soon as she figured their behavior was due to an "interpersonal difficulty" I bet she was smug about getting a firsthand account of the gossip HAHAHA

I really hope you decide to continue this. I was so upset when DOS never finished and I am such a supporter of the Shikako/Sasuke pairing... They just work. You got the characterisations so well and made it feel like such a natural transition. I can see from your latest update that you haven't yet abandoned this story, I really do hope that is the case! Oh my gosh, I just finished reading this chapter and I am absolutely in love with it! The tension and dynamic between Sasuke and Shikako are so palpable and intense—it's clear they were definitely making out, not just kissing!
The back-and-forth dialogue was so well-crafted, capturing Sasuke's stoic patience and Shikako's determined stubbornness perfectly!
I love how you delve into the nuances of their relationship, showing how deeply they care for each other despite the constant push and pull.

this is legitimately one of my favorite fanfics ever. I go in and out of the DoS fandom but this story is always in the back of my mind. I love your characterization. I love this fic.

You dropped off the grid during COVID so I hope you just lost your password or something and nothing more serious happened! Anyways, I’ll be thinking about this story decades from now and i wish the best for you

They should have discovered Yoji Aburame's file instead of Torune's.
He was canonically one of Itachi's teammates (though not for very long), so Sasuke would know about him. Being able to connect Yoji to Root and Yoji's death to Itachi would go a long way in helping him realize the truth
