Shirou's not a Faker yet, so you shouldn't have Gilgamesh calling him that yet.
Kiritsugu wanted to protect Shirou from making the same mistakes he had. He had to know how determined Shirou was, so maybe he hoped the boy would give yup on Magecraft if he eventually accepted he was no good at it and seek a safer more mundain way to help people.
Volunteer work, policemen, doctor, search & rescue crew member...

Arturia..as a master?! Well that's new! And its going to be so interesting, i suspect though that saber will also jump on the hate Kiri wagon, "the scoundrel adopted this poor child and tainted him so?"

Your really twisting the facts, Shirous distortion is partly because he wants to smile like kiritsugi, their is guilt but he wants to be that happy. Kiritsugi was also jackedup and unable to help Shirou really open his circuits or realize what was wrong. Since normally Shirou would be dead at this point.

This Shirou is reminding me more and more of Enkidu! But rather than becoming more human he is becoming more like a weapon like how Enkidu originally was. A sentient weapon sure, but a weapon nonetheless.
