Percy would 110% be an over-protective father, even if he wasn't feeling well, and it was sweet to see both Marguerite and the children care for him in such a practical and thoughtful way! I think my favorite part of this story was reading Marguerite's observations - her seeing Marianne hiding her disappointment and thinking that she could be a successful actress, as well as her observation that "children weren't made to be perfect." Both of those little asides are so in-character, and the second on in particular is really profound and I think poignantly captures the essence of how free-spirited Marguerite and adventurous Percy would likely parent their children. Really nice job on this!
