Wow, already with the first lines you manage to create such a dark and oppressive atmosphere that I could immediately guess which direction you want to go with this story. Your interpretation of the protagonists is very different from the image the games give us. While I'm a passionate advocate of portraying the characters as close to the original as possible, I still like the way they behave in your story. You've written a version here that fits your soft and caring characters perfectly.
I really liked this One-Shot. It is well written and easy to read.

I wouldn't be mad if you wrote more stories about my favorite characters. ;)
