This is so funny. Quite an enjoyable read. I'm tired of the stories trying to marry off Slim and Jess (just my opinion and no reflection on the talents of the writers so inclined.). I just want to read about the adventures of Slim and Jess and if humor like this is involved, so much the better. Please continue to gift us with stories of Jess and his guardian angel- that is if Maxwell can stand the strain Good job!

Forgot to say I loved your demonstration of the respect/terror Jess and Slim have in regards to Daisy. They quite literally know which side their bread is buttered on. Jess's apology to her was so sweet and so Jess! :D
