It's good that they want to take care of the child but honestly how can they hide the fact that she wasn't pregnant from the servants and family. People will gossip. They will know the child can't be truely theirs

Ai ai ai, I guess it could be superman, or any other alien, or maybe a time traveler with the metal and glass. I reminds me of the Japanese story Peach Boy just because Jane and Bingley deserve someone benevolent. Thanks for delivering the unexpected but dearly desired babe.

Awww! In real life they would likely have thought of looking for his parents... anybody... first, and then adopted him only when no-one could be found, but the instant and total acceptance and love with which they respond in this fairytale like setting and story is very touching and sweet. Thank you! :)
