Your attention to detail is amazing. The introduction of the rest of the team, spot on. I love how the dynamics are starting to change with the arrival (revival of Gene), Mai got a different kind of hero in Gene, and I glad she did. On the other hand, I'm curious about Naru's thoughts about what's happening between Gene and Mai.
With your portrayal of Gene so far is easy to understand why Oliver always was thought of as the twin with a bad personality.

Glad to see another chapter! Poor Mai. She's going to be hearing about her heart condition for EVER. Also this weird empathy thing between her and Gene is likely to have Naru diving into his books. At least until his mother shows up to pull him out.

Did not take Gene long to figure out what kind of person Masako is. Loved Ayako going into doctor mode with Mai. Looks like Naru is going to finally put Masako in her place over the whole blackmail. Wonder what happened between Mai and Gene on the porch. Love how protective of Mai Monk was and how suspicion Monk was of Gene. Update when you can. MaiXNaru forever!

Also I don't know if the manga tells you this but an the anime mai parents die they don't really say how. Just that her dad died when she was little and her mom when she was in middle school.
