for Season 9-10- Mr Monk And The Beginning

Love your work and the direction you have taken the story since 'Mr. Monk and The End'. Like you (and many others), I was half disappointed with certain aspects of how such a great show ended. I love that Monk was able to get the closure he needed regarding Trudy's murder, and he seemed to have that weight lifted from his shoulders, but also was slightly peeved that they decided to bring back that pointless and bland Albright character for Natalie, pretty much snuffing out the hopes of those of us who wanted to see her and Adrian finally get a little closer. I thought it was lazy writing on the show where they felt the need to pair everyone up at the end, even going so far as to wasting valuable screen time on 'characters' like Albright who felt completely out of place there and had no real chemistry with Natalie or anyone else. He was basically just a watered down copy of Mitch.
Molly was okay, at least Adrian still has a living part of Trudy he can connect with and make new memories with. I think the finale would have been better if they had hinted more a future for Natalie and Adrian at the end by showing Monk, Natalie and Julie together clearly more settled as a family, perhaps even suggesting Monk moving in with them, or at least with Adrian suggesting he take the two of them out somewhere, like on a family trip, or meal, or to the movies (like he actually does with Molly). I think this could have communicated the change in him and also show the direction he and Natalie would take in the future. I think Monk and Natalie getting together would be a gradual thing, so I don't think quickly putting them together in the finale would have worked, but just the hint that that was where they were likely going would have been enough!

I am a new fan of Monk as I only recently discovered the TV show on Amazon Prime. The show quickly became one of my all-time favorites, in part because of the hope it gives me for my own loved ones suffering with OCD. While I respect the writers/producers decision to end the show as they did, I was thrilled to find that others saw the beautiful chemistry between Monk and Natalie and decided to flesh it out through fanfic. Out of them all, I have enjoyed yours the most. Expertly written, your stories make me feel as if I'm still watching the show, but taking it to levels the show couldn't. I find myself going from literally laughing out loud, to gripping the edge of my seat, to crying, to sighing at the sweetness. I absolutely love seeing our favorite couple in a committed marriage with the most adorable babies ever! Thank you for keeping it clean. We don't need "M" rated territory to feel the passion between those two! I also loved the inclusion of faith in your stories through the character of Preacher. I hope to see more of that in your future stories. I anxiously await more stories of the Monk family and their faithful friends. In the meantime, I am thoroughly enjoying your collaboration with KittyKat06.

Yay, just finished your story. Real Life got in the way, but on the good side, I could read and finish it all in one sitting. Well, what can I say that the other reviewers haven't already said? Nothing really. LOL I too, would have liked to have read about the Lee/Natalie reunion, but I can understand you not wanting to stop with the action of the story for a bit of "fluff", but still, I missed it. LOL You wrapped everything up in a nice neat bow with everyone getting a happy ending or getting their just rewards. The Monk's getting half of Dale's fortune was a bit of a surprise. I can't imagine what Dale was thinking other then "money and power corrupts" and he thought that may happen with Monk? Not really sure. Anyway, he should have known that you can also use money and power to help and that is what Monk and Natalie did, so whatever Dale was thinking, he was "off big time". Speaking of being "off", only he could think that his brain could be transferred into someone's else's body. LOL It might have made more sense if he could have transferred his "essence" into an AI type of body, but again, that is a big gamble and not possible at this time, or if ever, but I guess, he was willing to try and escape death in any way possible and who knows...you as a writer just may find a way to bring that crazy, wicked dude back. Are we SURE that he didn't father any children? He could have by using some "clinical" way. LOL Can't wait till you start "Season 10". Just as it is the perfect number for Monk, I know your stories will fit that number to a tee. LOL

PS...I am not sure if your "Christmas story" will still be a mystery or just full of wonderful Holiday "fluff", but either way, I look forward to it.

The only problem I have with your last chapter and epilogue is that I wanted to see Adrian bringing Lee back to Natalie and see that reunion! I was worried about what was to become of Abeo and was VERY glad he got out safely and now has a job in Nigeria! (I wonder if Adrian/Natalie will allow Abeo to communicate with Lee on limited occasions, supervised.) Now, about this business of Dale giving Monk a billion dollars (minus one!), I'm not so sure, but of course Adrian/Natalie are going to do good with the money. Did Dale expect different? I'm surprised that Natalie/Adrian agreed to go in the first place, much less accept the money. HOPEFULLY he had Leland and Randy investigate it first to make sure it wasn't a trap or a scam. Dale's wish for his brain to be transplanted to a new host body once he's gone...it reminded me of one of Joey's Days of Our Lives plot-lines from "Friends." LOL! I loved this story and I'm so glad Lee is safe and here's hoping in future stories we might hear a line of dialogue about how some of the other children have been reunited with their true families.

I absolutely loved Abeo’s speech! Amazing!

Great Work, Dale's Trying To Be A Zombie-Man, Okay. He's Insane I Buy That. However...I Do Not Think It's Remotely Possible That Dale Would Give Monk 2 Pennies, Let Alone A Billion Dollars, I Know Your Trying To Humanize Dale, But Sometimes Characters Are What They Are. Dale's A Nasty, Selfish, Corrupt Being Who Absolutely Despises Monk. The Thought That He'd Then Turn Around & Set Adrian Up For Life Just Does Not Compute Nor Does The Fact That Monk Actually Accepted It. You Know I Love You. I Think You Are Brilliant...But Just Slow Your Roll. Monk Is Best Detective In The World. Why Can't He Provide For Himself?

Favorite Chapter Ever, Ever! So Much Chaos, And Emotion. Yes! Monk Super-Spyed It & Got His Boy Back. I Ain't Gonna Even Lie, I Almost Cried When Lee Said "Daddy!" I Almost Sqirt Some Tears Right There :D Woo! Great Job! Nice Work Monk!

I love so much about this chapter but I think my favorite part was Lee snacking his hand over Adrian's mouth so his daddy wouldn't scream about the bug and give away their cover.

Awesome Job! Love The Action, Finally We Have Eyes On Lee. Go Monk! Go! Is Adrian With Sam Or Emmanual? Just Wondering.

I'm writing this to tell you that your inbox is apparently full and I can no longer PM you.

As for my review - Adrian, please be careful. Abeo, please hold on to Lee and teach him more about pretending because as soon as he sees his daddy he's going to reach out for Adrian and that will put all of them in danger.
