There is just so much going on in this chapter and its fantastic. You really get that sense of anticipation in this chapter that comes with a silver lining. Sure everyone is anxious of what's to come but this feeling only makes them appreciate the time of peace they have left and it brings them together too.
Not only that, but if may even push you to dig into some courage that you thought you didnt even have like Ferdinand said "to not have regrets". There is so much of that in this chapter in nearly every section and it feels so satisfying to see these loose ends be tied up. I could go on but I'd be here forever. Amazing job again

You know it's really something when my 3 favorite Byladetta fics get updates today and this is the one I felt the need to review first. This was fantastic, you nailed the tone of how Byleth must've felt this month and really made the audience share it too. Not to mention you gave a very believable look into Bernadettas motivation this month. I felt a bit betrayed by her when I read it in game but it makes so much sense reading your story.
And the payoff was just grand. Bernadetta just wailing about her built up guilt and her repeating to have Byleth confide in her was just so emotionally overwhelming. It really got to me, and I can tell you can relate a lot to what you write with how Annette got a little wistful in the dining hall. I had a feeling that you were speaking through her in that instance.
But yes, that chapter was awesome and thats pretty much all my 4am brain can summarize rn. Best of luck in your writings and thank you again

Kudos to whoever gave you the idea of this chapter because it was great!
I love how you portrayed Byleths grief. The thoughts about the lost time between him and his father tug at my heart, man. He was keeping a brave face in front of everyone but it just all comes out of him when he sees Jeralts grave. This makes this little trip feel all the more necessary since Byleth is confronting this tragedy but now with Bernadettas support.
And I thought it was great how you have Bernadetta mirror Byleths mom. I could just imagine Jeralt and Byleths mom feeling similarly about each other as these two did during the grave scene. I bet they would be proud that Byleth could find they same happiness they shared.
Lastly, love the little post story commentary you got the other female students do. It reminds me how older animes would have characters banter about what's gonna happen in the next episode. It's something I've seen fanfics emulate too, but I hardly see it anymore. Just felt a little nostalgia seeing it here and I hope it sticks around.

Well done. I think you did a good job translating a lot of the in game activities, recruitment, cooking, birthday tea parties, and supports into a nice little narrative. I'll be interested on where you take this in the next part. A personal request would be you writing some of the dialogue Bernadetta has with Byleth after Jeralts passing and after Byleth fuses with Sothis. Those moments are tinged with sadness but I think they're worthy of being called "special".
