Excellent work. I personally think the way you handled the Winter scene was great. Just knowing who she was told Luke that there was more going on there, and you handled their interaction perfectly. I also liked Luke's struggles with training Kyp and how he's learning slowly how to overcome them. The only minor issue I'd say is that Luke's thoughts on the issues he was having became a bit repetitive at points. But great work!

I’m sooooooo hyped to see this isn’t abandoned thank you! Honestly the best SI SW fic on ffnet. I’d love to see more about the dovetail effects and writing of the Sith book. Can’t wait to see more rogue squadron and possibly Mara Jade and or the stormtroopers from choices of one. Cant wait for C16!
If you ever want help with some lore or to bounce ideas I’d be open to help as I do have beta expierence for multiple fics

Welcome back from your writing purgatory. Well done on another well written update. The inclusion of Winter was a surprise, especially with her coming in as a new member of Luke's inner circle and ally. I am curious on how their relationship goes moving forward and if Leia had a direct hand in moving her adopted sister closer to her twin. Might be amusing if little sister was subconsciously playing matchmaker. I could see Luke's ability to read Winter and understand her despite her personality and gifts would intrigue her. Also looking forward to Luke and Ashoka possibly meeting soon. I had always wondered how they would interact given their shared connection and history to Vader. I imagine she could see the similarities of the twins with their parents only with their temperaments being the opposite. Leia always seemed to be the more hot tempered like her father while Luke was more focused like his mother. She would also make a valuable ally and help in bringing back the order if she is shown similarly how she was portrayed in the Manderin series. Hope things work out and won't be as long before you can update. This story has been missed with nothing new. Keep up the great work.

Excellent stuff, and you worked through the difficultly with winter well. Cold, short, and professional but not robotic. Your description of how you imagine the force is great as always, and Hondo and Bens characters fit in (liked the POV by the way!) interested to see how Luke’s going to deal with cartel conflict, and I keep thinking back to how jade and vader are going to pop back up!

The chapter was good, especially the suggestions that Luke is planning some major operation in future, his bonding with Kyp and finding he likes to teach and the fact Ben is looking for Ashoka.
That last one is especially interesting since it meens Luke could get some help in not so distant future, and one more jedai fighitng the good fight is always appriciated.

I mean, Luke's gotta remember SOMEWHERE in that head of his that Mara's used that alias before.
I don't mind if it takes him a while to realize, but it feels like a waste to have him not notice, at all, ever.

Hey,
so I on the one hand truly like this story, but frankly with Luke's talents (I mean Luke learned nearly all the Force Abilities that are known to both the Jedi, Sith and other force traditions and orders!) and the knowledge of a typical Star Wars fan he should be further than a Venator SD, not to mention:
The Self-Insert is not wearing armor, why? Cortosis, Phrik and other materials can resist lightsabers and give a combat advantage, especially since Vader (and even more Inquisitors and Emperor's hands aren't the best combatants if you take away their lightsaber with say cortosis!)...not to mention that a Mandalorian Armor is simply cool and offers a lot of firepower.
Also: Use droids! The CIS only didn't win the Clone Wars because Daddy Palps didn't actually let them win! Droids can be mass produced (thousands of droids per hour in a large foundry!) and they don't need training, just a propper commander, hell even giving every Rebell squad a few droids as support would even the odds considerably, just like using droid starfighters to even the odds against Tie-Fighters!
Hell, the EU gives a lot more stuff from the Star Forge (yes Revan destroys it, but even parts of the structure could help big time!), to a Silencer-Super-Laser (capital-ship-killer)...hell, even a single SPHA installed on the Resurgent (like Anakin Skywalker had done to his Venator-Class ships in the Clone Wars) would give it a lot more firepower :)
Also: Holocrons! Most of us fans know where some of them are or at least where it is very likely to find some (Ossus, Tython, Korriban etc.)
You should also free the gobblin (Yoda)...his knowledge could come in handy :)
You also follow the movies too closely IMHO (yes, Alderaan still exists and Obi-Wan survives, but everything else? More or less the same!)
So, my few bits, will continue to read on now :)
