If the thark side can grant ultimate power, immortality and literal resurrection from death, then the light side can go fuck itself.
So yeah it goes without saying the protagonist's noble goals aren't exactly in line with what I would have preferred to see.

On the topic of Mara...its best to act on the assumption that ANY beautiful woman with red hair and green eye probably intends to destroy you in some fashion. Those who don't think so are generally to young to have met any beautiful women with red hair and green eyes. Luke is supposed to have access to adult memories, so it's probably better to lay this as "drunk" than "didn't intend harm". The Reds just can't help it. :)

I have read this fic multiple times and I enjoy it quite a lot. 'Force Blocking' is actually called Tutaminis. It also sounds like your Luke is starting to come up with ideas that are used by the Blazing Chain pirates with his manipulation of energies from blasters.

Not particularlyhappy about Kyp, but only because having a student around is going to slow everything down because you constantly have to account for what's he doing, whatvluke is teaching him, what's he doing while like is on missions, and that's before accounting for the mountain to climb regarding dealing with his issues, which is going to be a large undertaking.
Otherwise, very much enjoyed this story so far, and look forward to more.

Sith "derive", not "deride" their power. Otherwise I'm very much enjoying the treatises, as well as your portrayal of Vader. It seems he's being shaped into another direction, I wasn't expecting him to so quickly manifest his new goals.

The Vader bit was well constructed. He took a sledgehammer to Vaders' world, and cracked every facet of it. And as they say, always leave them wanting more!

How the fuck does anybody with even the slightest legends knowledge, someone that knows about the Thrawn trilogy, fucking FORGET MARA FUCKING JADE? Am I supposed to just not notice the gigantic idiot ball that just got dropped? like red hair plus green eyes plus clear signs of being more dangerous than she presents shouldn't have set the bells of Nortre Dame inside his head ringing like the rapture had come? There's nothing about that interaction that feels in the slightest bit organic considering I haven't read those books in twenty years and I still immediately thought 'wonder if it's Mara Jade' when a Red head approached him. Before all the other clues, 'redhead' immediately made me think of her, and I recall very little beyond her description, loyalty to the Empire, and eventual romance with Luke. No chance anyone with his knowledge wouldn't have felt some trepidation and caution at a mysterious redhead.
That shit was frustrating to read from the second a redhead approached him to when the POV change confirmed it.
