Quantum - Christ, that felt forced. What, Kinetica didn't even take a second to decide to ally with him. I kinda hate these two.

Adrienn - I... Adrienn is only 12 years old. Zack is not that much older. Honestly, it was more creepy than cringe-worthy to me. It pretty clear Adrienn is kinda deluded herself her, but I'll chalk up her crush as a defense mechanism and leave it at that.

Calytrix - Well, she didn't prove to be bratty when her dreams as a artist was shattered. It's a dream, one that might never come true, but still a dream. Her being a blacksmith is cool and I wonder how that'll transition in the games. Her having dead sibling in the HG is a cliche, but it was done well here. I think she's a bittersweet character and I love her for it.

Corbin - From what I can tell, he's a pretty much a good hard-working farming kid. Got a normal life and everything, and I guess that's fine. He doesn't do drugs and I believe him to be a decent human being. Doubt he'll win, he's way to average, but I like him.

August - Like Red, her life is pretty shit and otherwise hopeless. Can't help myself when I pity her. The fact she tries to find optimism despite everything makes me want root for her. She has nothing right now, other than her life, and I hope she doesn't give up.

ooh quantum! pfft tbh im awful but i don’t really remember either of my kids so it was kind of neat to see him again! my memory is such garbage Dx. jumping ahead of myself yes but the names kinetica and quantum sound so good together im glad they’re allies! anyway. i like the commentary abt the food on the train, it’s definitely a luxury that the districts aren’t used to. blick i love that name but he’s so oblivious… an actual goofball. as if it’s worth dying over dksjdk LMAO. dang quantum is lowkey kind of smart… impulsive i remember that actually but i’m liking his decision to try and appeal to blick for brownie points haha :-) also the bit about how he wishes they’d’ve given them the minimum because it would be honest was a great line! $10k is way too much for a shitty painting i agree. ;-; vincia! rip his girlfriend honestly, the earring thing was fucking cute though i liked it! also menelaus cressure is such a banger of a name… not blick trying to guess what wig color quantum would need im dying omg. and the unstoppable nerd duo pls i adore them hhh.

adrienn pls rhe cringe was UNREAL. the hopeless romantic tendencies are so twelve year old girl i love it. adrienn is the epitome of fangirl pls. her obsession with glint leading her to watch some of his movies during her train rides is so hilarious and also unproductive hehe but its a fun time! i also loved the callback to both rapids and her parents forcing her to volunteer w/ the similarity to “in the dragon’s eye” and the last year’s games. ZACK SPILLING ORANGE JUICE PLS HE'S SOFT. clumsy lad ;-; and then her comparison of glint and zack was too good omg. alr head over heels for her district partner who is! three years older than her! AND THE AVOX GIVING HER A LOOK LMFAO THE SASS PLEASE. bruh her pov was sm fun i doubt she’ll go far but she’s entertaining af

as for the alliances list, it’s a fun addition omg! i’m so excited for careers i love career politics and stuff it’s sm fun… and the rest of these kids pls pregames are so much fun! i can’t wait for the next, good luck writing it! i’m assuming school’s back in session soon too so gl with that bro! keep up the good work! :))

Quantum: I find myself liking him even more after this! His care for his girlfriend is so sweet, and him putting her earring through his ear sounds like something that the Capitolites will like. Him and Kinetica will definitely make a good alliance, I wonder if they’ll add a couple more tributes to the group? I’m looking forward to seeing more of the ‘unstoppable nerd duo!’
Adrienn: Oh myyyyy, her crush on Zack is 100% crime-worthy so you’ve done your job right. She really does tend to fall for people quick. If they do get together I think they’d be a cute couple somewhat…but Adrienn seems a tad possessive. I think her crush on him is a way to keep her mind off the reality of her situation which is really sad :((( The Glint movies also seem to be a coping mechanism. I hope she can come to terms with the situation soon because I like her hopeless romanticness! It’s something unique I’ve never seen in a tribute before!

hey lilah! good to see another chapter from you! :D

first off i gotta say i really like the headers, letting us know how many days before is a pretty neat addition. djdjdj and siro! friend :0 yeah that has to be kind of messing w/ you to realize you’re leaving home… ig i always thought of it as “you’re going to the capitol” rather than “you’re leaving behind the things that matter to you” damn :/ … he might not be a match for the careers but tbh i want to root for the nines they’re extremely likeable imho. literally siro being supportive/understanding of red is the fuckin best esp after all the transphobia they faced back at school ;-; pfft wanting to know the name of whoever kills him… morbid :’) also his parents being more concerned about the pigeons than their own son is lowkey kind of sad? the fuck?

i liked the reaping recap, in a sense it kind of helped remind me of everyone that it’s been a while since we’ve heard from them. mirage seeming on the outs already i guess, at least from an outsider perspective… i’m forgetting a lot about her specifically so i can’t remember if she’s been trained or not but he seems to not think so. yeah the twos are terrifying… probably aside from arty i’d expect them to do the most damage in the arena. KDJDKD SIRO MAYBE ALLYING WITH QUANTUM :eyes: :00 i do not remember much abt my own children at all - i’d like to think my character skills have improved since i sent them to you but yeah - so that should be fun to see where they end up pregames. siro having a good feeling abt arty is kind of fun, smart to remind himself not to get attached. siro and zack also makes sense lol. amber too damn. siro out here not messing around at all :00

everyone avoiding sycamore like a plague is really *ahem* interesting given what happened to him :/ i lowkey feel like her thinking she could be overpowered by him might be foreshadowing hm. also i can tell the lil explanation abt avens’ successes was probably geared to my skepticism so thanks for the explanation dkdkdk. i get the impression bear may be open to allying with avens if the twos or fours don’t work out and that might be interesting. mirage’s strategy going into the games is actually pretty interesting, makes sense for a d1 girl too lol. seems like we have a LOT of manipulators in the careers though, mirage, setsuna, arty… it’ll be fun to see how they all try and out-do each other. if i had to guess, district lines are gonna be pretty firm. the pact was really sweet and honestly i do see them sticking to it.

Siro- It was good to see him and Red interact together! I think they could make a pretty good alliance, and I like the fact that Siro was very chill with swapping pronouns quickly. It’s interesting to see some of the tributes from another tribute’s perspective. I was especially surprised that Arty came off as extremely likeable to Siro, whereas from my perspective of him I found him dislikeable- obviously that’s one of Arty’s strengths though, being friendly and open to other people. I’m very happy about how Siro viewed Bear, he needs to scare other tributes and get sponsors. I’m also glad that the tributes from district 2 overshadow him in terms of fear factor though, because it means not too much attention from outlier tributes and the rest of the Careers is out in him. The fact that Siro thinks Zack, Amber and Quantum would be good allies is good. All of them plus Red could make a strong alliance, and they’ll be underestimated too. ALSO, when Siro’s parents were talking about the pigeons I was super intrigued. Did that somehow influence the naming of the chapters? Will that influence the arena? Will they dress up as birds for the parade? So so many questions I’m practically dying to see answered.
Mirage- I was glad to see more of Mirage as I didn’t feel like I got enough from the short snippet of her. I now like her more than I already did! Also, seeing her strategy was interesting. I’m wondering if Arty might be the person she chooses to flirt with and manipulate. Because if she won’t do that to Bear (yay, very nice of her), she’ll probably go for Arty rather than Gladius as he has that sociopath vibe Mirage wasn’t going for. Their pact is really good, they could be a powerful little duo, but underestimated maybe too by the overshadowing of Gladius and Setsuna. Mirage is a genuine person as well, so her and Bear will stay loyal to each other (I hope.)
