I think you did a fantastic job on your first one-shot. They're certainly a lot tricker than chapter stories in some respects (at least for us who write 40 chapter stories lmao!).

I really loved the idea of Apollo actually taking Simon up on his "offer". He wants to prove himself because everyone makes fun of him, but Simon seeing Apollo's resolve, he wasn't about to make fun of him if he backed out.

I found their conversations intriguing & completely in character. I really loved how you did Simon. You can tell he cares, but he tries so hard to cover it. (naturally, due to his current situation.)

I really loved how Simon saved Apollo from being raped/abused. I know it must pain him to fight so nasty, but he does what he has to do.

I really loved how Simon didn't even bother drying tears when Apollo went to check on him.

I loved the phrase "some things are worth dying for." Simon kept saying in Japanese & we finally get it at the end.
