This was absolutely gorgeous! I was so happy to stumble upon this story randomly, because it was a wonderful read, and you are a truly talented writer. I loved seeing the bits from all of the canon Victors; Woof's especially was very sad about how he was losing one of his girls and forgot the entire conversation.

My favorite parts were from the unknown Victors, however. You made them incredibly compelling. Leda was beautiful; I love seeing an interpretation of the female morphling where she isn't a useless slurred mess 24/7 (like Indigo!) and I love how her and Tyndraeus were able to get Tullius out of the arena despite his disability. It's a very sad thought but such a cute family of Sixes that reminded me of my own family of Sixes, so seeing that glimpse of those three was incredibly sweet. It was also intriguing to see how she communicates in codewords with the other Victors, and I'm pleased Leda is an active rebel here instead of just a prop. I also thought it was very interesting that Felix was Foxface's father. I would've assumed more fanfare would've been made about her, but Katniss also pays attention to nothing in the books so it would've been believable for her to not notice or care.

My favorite parts were definitely Bunny and Emmer, however. Bunny is such a sweet woman, and I loved seeing how she was able to build a lovely happy family after the Games. I love seeing success stories like that, and Bunny just seems like such a beautiful, wonderful character. And then her relationship with Emmer was gorgeous as well. Emmer was perhaps my favorite character in this entire story; I'm also nonbinary, so I understand the struggle they were going through, with how their family struggled to understand and everything. I'm so pleased they found someone like Aunt Bunny who understands them though, and the ending was so sweet and sad with them going into their hiding place and having their Victor time together. Overall those two really broke my heart and it's sad to think they both got Bloodbath'd since they're both such compelling characters. I would've loved to see more about them because I just fell in love with their dynamic and history.

P.S. I also loved how you included kids of Victors in the Games a lot because I don't have many in my stories, but it is a canon detail so it's very believable and fits a part of canon I often neglect. Overall good job a lovely read!

We’ve written on a similar theme!

I like the route you’ve gone down with Wiress’s state of mind and Beetee’s questioning of Plutarch was a really nice touch.

*Loved* the last line of District Five and how you’ve explored his motivations for going straight after Katniss.

The childlike nature of everything in Six followed by what we knew was coming just makes it all the more sad and I really, really felt for them. How you’ve related the morphling in with the rebellion is interesting and an idea I’m certainly on board with.

Oh Johanna, I always thought Blight meant more to her than she let on.

Bunny in District Nine is fantastic and I love the family set up you have brought to the victors in all the districts shown here!

I really enjoyed this! I liked how you brought the unnamed tributes to life, and now when I reread Catching Fire, they will definitely be in the back of my head. I only wish there were more!
