I would think that Shirou would be unable to Trace the actual Legendary weapons, but able to Trace any forms he has seen them take, after all the fact that weapon copy is a thing, and make weapon forms, that work the same as forms unlocked by actions or absorbing things, hint that all forms they take, could theoretically exist as mundane weapons(or magic non-legendary weapons) so Shirou wouldn't be able to just Trace up the Legendary sword, but if Ren ran his sword though every form he had unlocked, Shirou could Trace all of those.

I'll point out that (from my understanding) technically, the "Life Force Energy" _is_ called Od (in other words, Odic Force), which is in turn converted into Ether (I think...?) in order to actualize a mystery or spell (that is the purpose of magic circuits). Rituals (like the HGW) converts Mana (planetary life force) into Ether as well to do whatever the ritualists wanted.
And interesting that Shirou does not perceive the Legendary Bow (yet?). Given that Archer has proven that he can trace his own bow no problem, that leads to the question of whether you're working under the assumption that Archer simply committed to "mortal" (i.e. not UBW) memory everything about his bow (since so long as he can mentally picture everything about an object, he can trace it), or that it's just a limitation to Shirou's skill at the moment that he does not recognize and record a bow.

I can't say I'm surprised that you're going with the magic system from Fate instead of from Canon Shield Hero. I personally think that Fate's magic system is more developed, probably due to the fact that the company that made it has so many IP's branching off of it that they had to sit down and really develop the magic concept as much as possible.
Also, it's a lot easier to keep track of 1 magic system instead of having to juggle 2 so choosing one over the other is great!
Can I just say, I'm glad this story isn't on hiatus! It's always a good day when I've got a notification that tells me this story updated

Excellent story. Unlike literally every other fate/shield hero crossover, this doesn't include an op shiro. you also have done an accurate job showing how the world would be impacted and also how everyone would act with the new elements being added. Can't wait for the next update!
