Wow, so Harry and Mordred seem to get ever closer... I really hope that Harry is changing the past with all of this!

Hello Again White Angel of Auralon,

So I was wrong to suggest Saxon units, as Arthur was known for fighting against the Saxons in the period circa 500 AD. Instead, we're stuck looking for Briton units, perhaps Welsh units of the "Sub Roman Period", and (unlikely) Celtic (Irish) units of the same period.

Thus, it seems that the "mile" is the most likely way in which such distances would be expressed. What the actual "mile" distance was under Arthur is open to debate.

And, then, there is the topic of weight, which you also specified using metric units.

Overall, I would suggest that you use Roman units of measure when writing quotes from the Arthurian period. From what I've seen they would have been the most likely measurements used by the wealthy, educated people of the time.

Good Day White Angel of Auralon,

I have a minor criticism about "We will start with running three kilometres for a warm up.".

Isn't that statement a bit anachronistic?

Depending on which Wikipedia article you look at, there is reference to the metre being defined originally in 1793 AD.
1) wiki/Metre
2) wiki/History_of_the_metre

Assuming that you are using Arthurian legend, I think that the "mile" may have been a more appropriate measure of distance. In the context of Arthurian legend, the Roman Mile was effectively standardized as early as 29 AD. On the other hand, there is the "Arabic league", which likely existed earlier, for all that it likely would not have been the common measure of long distance in Arthur's time.

And now, I must admit that I do not know what the correct units of measurement are, either, although the Saxon units of measure might be even more appropriate. I don't have an easy reference for them, and I'm not sure if they are correct for the Arthurian period of the Britons.

Thanks for listening to me whine. I really do appreciate that you've given us a fine story; the story surely deserves people's time spent reading.

Best of Luck,
Scott Peimann

Well, that was quite something. I'm glad you tore the priest down and not the religion or beliefs. Sadly, lots of dumbass people have made that all too easy. *Shakes head*

Anyways, Harry was quite awesome in this chapter, and it'll be interesting to see if his actions have altered history, or merely set them on the path they needed to be in the first place. You know, butterfly effect versus causality effect...I think.

Anyways, great chapter!

Liked meeting Neville's ancestor.
Also loved Harry taking that priest down a peg or two or three

OMG what a chapter. Looks like Harry and company made it just into to to stop a murder by a deranged prist trying to make a name for himself, and also delivering 3 babies (one a Longbottom)
Can't wait to see what happens next

Broken leg?

Wouldn't the bone mending charm or skelegrow potion help with that?

To further put the screws on the false priest.

- Longbottom

Wonder if he's keeping a family journal. Could lead to Neville stumbling across the entry and Harold's description and going: "Potter luck strikes again, huh Harry? Now how did you end up in the past or is this just some ancestor of yours?"

Because Nev knows Harry's luck is weird, so 50-50 on either Harry time travelling or that this is an ancestor of his.

Sure, we the audience know better. But Neville isn't the audience and can only speculate on the likely possibilities.

I like the premise behind the story, my concern is the pace and also that you've turned the second half of the story almost fully to the Camelot timeline. Originally I thought Camelot would be brief flashbacks to provide training. Good luck!

Wow more Harry tearing someone apart with words please! I feel like he doesn’t do it enough! Though it is true he doesn’t get many opportunities either

Thanks for the chapter
