This fic is currently failing the Lovegood test.
I call the lovegood test a test to a story whenever they add a character like Luna in. When fics pass it, Luna is kept to character and changes around the characters, as she does have her own personaility regardless of how easy going it is. When fics start to fail/fail it, they throw her without warning into the bunch of characters who become friends for no apparent reason.
Unfortunately, this is starting to turn really crack-fic like. Sure some would argue the whole gang thing would be crack, but at the same time it oddly fits Harrys character. However when suddenly half a dozen nicknames are to be given to Luna, and for them to like her immediately and seemingly drop most attention on Hermoine... it doesnt bode well.

In case you want it, I'm gonna share my favorite headcanon about magical genetics: it's not just a codominant set. It started with a fully dominant magical gene; as long as one was born with it from at least one parent, they were magical. Somehow, maybe as a side effect of magic not allowing a witch to give birth to full muggles, maybe as accidental magic from witches desperate to not give birth to muggles, a muntant codominant gene was formed, and has been slowly replacing the gene previously dominant among purebloods, albeit whether it makes any difference is as much your guess as mine.

Ngl I tend to follow plot convenience logic for time travel, cause until that stage play it seemed to always create stable loops in PoA where trying to change things resulted in insanity but then suddenly it didn't.

Tbh if I'd been Harry I'd have suggested she keep her eyes open and the next time she sees someone being abusive to staff anywhere try to see if she can order them to leave and forget their complaints or if she sees someone about to jump order them to return to safety, as there could be life or death need for it and I doubt she'd complain too hard about those ideas.
