Just In
for Sincerity Regarding Être Libre

I love the mental image of Courfeyrac and Jehan writing this poem together, hoping they can convince Marius to come back, and now I'm sad thinking about how Marius never does rejoin their group, until the barricades. The whole poem is just so sweet! And then suddenly the last stanza was so sad, as well. (Please, Marius, go back to them!)
Fantastic poetry, as always, Meg!

This is so exactly how young men (and some not so young) apologize that it made me grin. I would absolutely believe that it would bring Marius back to the group.

Ok, I was smiling until "if only you would come to us once more", aww. It gave me feels I didn't know I had. Gah, they're good friends and I can definitely see Marius getting this poem from them, and it's a precious image. :D
