You are so cruel, megSUPERFAN. I always felt like Bahorel being "the first to fall" of the Amis was important and needs to be addressed more in this fandom, and tying Jehan into it...the feels are real. Jehan's naivety about death, his acceptance, and the LOSS - but it all feels like it's happening in slow-motion because of the narration here. "-it hadn't mattered before now that he'd written about things he didn't understand." Aaaw, poor Jehan. (but how dare you target me here) Great work! :_)

I like this perspective from the poet's point of view. Very sad, of course, it always is when the young die, but I like the way you have him wonder off into his deep thoughts even int he midst of battle, and even as he was sent to join his friend. A poet and thinking to the end. Well done!
