I love this chapter. This is how I like to see Erik and Christine- Christine forever soothing Erik's insecurities, and being a good wife, and the two of them very much in Leroux character. It's beautiful.

This is a really interesting premise! I like the fact that you've taken canon and shifted it to a Modern Au- I don't think that's something I've ever seen done before. The descriptions of the house and nice and vivid without being arduous and i especially love the line about a house without torture chambers, Imagine such a thing! XD
Christine's insistence over a shared room is very sweet and the incident with the bathroom was downright creepy (which I'm sure was the vibe you were going for, so well done in that regard).
I'm super curious to see where you take this and this you're off to a great start! Looking forward to more!
