Very nice chapter with Cami and the Changewing. Small editorial note. When Cami was hiding behind Toothless, you wrote that she "peaked" over his wing. I believe that you really meant "peeked." Homonyms can be such a pain.

Of course Astrid is going to come up with an escape plan, and she may even be out before Hiccup and Cami get there. Viggo's biggest flaw is his belief that he is superior to everyone else, which makes him overconfident. The fact that he's been able to get away from Hiccup so often is solely due to the doubts that he has been able to plant in Hiccup's mind, plus the fact that he IS a master of deception. It will be interesting to see him match wits with Cami.

OK, I saw the marriage contract coming as soon as the treaty was mentioned. But I did not see Viggo kidnapping Astrid coming. Very nice plot twist. I look forward to what is coming next.

Ack, this story is so dang good! :D I love the narration and imagery you use; the characterizations are also spot on! :D I feel pretty bad for Astrid; I hope she manages to escape. Or, Hiccup and Cami make it to her first. And then there’s the marriage contract…Wow, there’s a lot going on, but I’m confident that things will turn out right in the end…hopefully. XD
