Fun idea for the fic, but I just can't see it really happening. The problem is that the Galaxy society is ancient. There is no way this was not tried countless times before by countless other individuals with the basic knowledge. Yet, for some reason, the practice did not spread. Even Sith meddling or Jedi suppression would not explain that, as it is close to impossible to completely erase information from public networks. And IS impossible to erase it from public knowledge.
The only thing (aside from abilities being 100% innate) I see as a possible explanation, is that the practice is waaaaaay more dangerous than MC assumes. That people who dabble without direct guidance have huge rates of falling. Dramatic falling. That this it is such a well-known fact, information is being deliberately suppressed on all levels for pure public safety reasons. That? That would be a believable explanation.

i've gone back and re-read this fic 3-4 times, and i think its not unusual to say its very good.
in and of itself, as is, a complete exploration of a plot bunny.
eventually, maybe, a sequel story that explores more of how the chaos explodes, and how the clone wars/rise of the empire changes due to this info, as that unpredictabilty is heavily foreshadowed here
very compelling read, very much a fanfic

If I could've possibly contributed my own questions to John and the gang during this chapter, it would be these two (because I'm happy to acknowledge I can be the snarkiest troll ever):
1. Does Obi-Wan use the Force to style his beard? It's either that, or he has the teeniest imaginable set of tweezers to put every strand of hair into its proper place and then uses a matching miniscule razor to trim these.
2. For both Anakin and Obi-Wan - just what percentage of the Jedi Temple do you think have at least once imitated Master Yoda's unique speech patterns even if it was performed in absolute privacy inside their heads and never mentioned to a single soul?

I like the fic, but here's a point of criticism: if you write multiple POV, and your main POV is first person, don't have them all in first person. It's jarring.
