I got thrown off by the bolded words when Cardin started speaking. I may have read too fast to real why it's done this way. I do like that Roman still holds value in his past with Oobleck.
I did forget about Raven going against the Arcs. The thing about it though is they are recognized as a powerful family but to what end. Are they expected to ever fight against any of Salem's forces or just there for Jaune and company? Their combat ability and aggression also seems odd for not originally having Jaune trained up. Unless I missed that he wasn't keeping up with their training regimen. To be honest I'd would look more forward to seeing Jaune beat his family than his old team that betray him because it all started with them to begin with. Who better to show that you were meant for more than the ones that told you you had no right to such a role let alone a chance.
If you did it would through all else off though which is why I don't think they should've been shown to be so powerful in the first place. Maybe it was done just to get Raven out the way cause of how the show portrays her or something. Either way it'll be difficult to see it work.
Though you mentioned what's next in a few words that doesn't really say what will happen but what others can reference to before your version of the events occur. Not feeling excited or anything but that's only cause of how long it's been. The consistency did drop which threw off the story momentum when following the story. Life is what it is so this happens.

Pyrrha is basically saying if he came back to her she'd forgive him. One wonder if jaune is the only one from the old group that will face consequences. The again itd be interesting if pyrhha got the half maiden powers and found out how nice it is to be chained to a pedestal with salem and cinders attention on you.

Well, it's not like Raven haven't asked for it. Max offered her a chance to walk away with her people in the prev. chapter. So she reaped what she sowed.
The thing I'm wondering about is whenever Raven and her bandits were able to wound/kill some of the Arc sisters.
Possibly, but only IF Raven went all out (aka: used her Maiden powers). Otherwise my guess is Max kept Raven busy, while his dauthers massacred the bandits.
Looking forward to two thing mostly.
One is Vernal's reaction. And the second is the Dance, obviously.

Ah, one of those weird stories where Jaune was refused anything to help with being a huntsman but everyone of his siblings got training (except saphron).
Kinda disappointing we got no interaction wirh the family, just Pyrrha talling the father about jaune being her partner then cut away and leave.
If the arc’s not get killed off i see this being a problem for Vernal. Raven attacking a place just as she leaves, the woman who is also that teams sponsor. Now they may not say anything to Ozpin and not see it as related events but he knew Vernal was a bandit from that tattoo’s so likely sees a connection

I like what you did with the Schnee’s.
I hated what the show did with Jacq and Whitley. Jacq just being the most stereotypical terrible business man and whitley treated so harshly by sisters (and their friends) that both abandoned him on his own in the place they all ran from.
Weapon choice is dispponting. I was thinking before with umbrella/lance and shield/bow/dual blades it was a bit much. At most you want the weapon options at 2 like most the cast or 3 like pyrrha and qrow.
Switching out shield/bow/dual blades for shield and sword/greatsword and gun still feels like too much of an arsenal for someone that is still learning to fight and far too cumbersome for a huntsman to effectly move around with while carrying it all.
I would have said add some long range weapon to the lance, like parts of the umbrella deploys like a tall bipod and make it a sniper or something. But he is kinda just stuck with the gun forever now given the significance behind it being given to him.

Ah, NPR and RWBY get Jaune removed cus he lied to get into beacon and could put them in danger due to his lack of skill.
Now replaced with a woman from a tribe known for ransacking towns and leaving them for the grimm to clean up. Mich better.
Good sense of irony there. You want an untrained possible danger to others gone? Well here is a trained danger. Unless of course the Branwens in this story are not so dumb in their existence of being frankly useless but Raven choose them cus “strength”
