25The Chortling Mermaid
I love this story so much. I love how well you captured Nastasia's pain, and how even early on her devotion to her oath was so hard on her. And also the parallels between Timpani saving Blumiere, and then Bleck saving Nastasia. It's also so in-character for Count Bleck to remind her she can leave at any time, but then be so hurt by the suggestion of never seeing Timpani. Ughhh this story hit me in the feels. Nassy really is the best girl. It makes the events of SPM so heartbreaking. I also like how she isn't written to be so like detached or like cold at the moment, and that she realizes that she loves him, never totally losing hope that her love could be mutual one day.
