Ned should just tell Jon the truth and I think the northern Lords will support him since he's a targaryen and a stark and they will like him since he has stark blood and have more claim to the Iron Throne and since Jon is dragonborn he already have Odahviing and he have legion of dragons in tamriel and when people see has dragons people will believe he's a targaryen and Ned just technically usurping his nephew.
