What the hell? Ned taking the crown after just one conversation? And all the while he’s aware of Jon being a viable & worthy candidate for the crown.
This just makes Ned look stupid & weak. If he intends to let Jon have the crown afterwards then that’s just stupid. It’s very difficult to surrender a crown after you take it, your own supporters would turn against you for what they see as a betrayal. Ask season 8 Jon about it.
Plus I can’t see Ned just disqualifying Stannis as king after hearing only secondhand rumors about his misdeeds. He may be wary but he wouldn’t believe it immediately.

You literally just turned Ned into a twice over usurper. He would rather be King than tell Jon the truth and support his claim. Lol hilarious writing decision. Once the truth comes out, the Starks lose all moral standing. Just look like any other opportunistic Great House.

I wonder if it would've been funny if after Jon hit him with the paralyze spell that he would walk up and then punch the idiot in the face breaking his nose, lastly using restoration to heal the now broken nose.

It's so good to see Ned surviving King's Landing and back in the North preparing to lead the fight with Jon at his sides.
