Sigurd finds Brynhildr in the flaming mountain, unlike their YYGDM selves, Brynhildr is angry and hostile towards Sigurd at first. When first getting acquainted, and learning the warrior slain the dragon, Brynhildr thought of using Sigurd to train herself to get her revenge on Odin, unaware of feeling a first hints of love. And so Sigurd sets off to meet Gunnar and Gudrun, unaware that they set a trap and for Gunnar to retrieve Brynhildr. Also, Gudrun is seen speaking modern/common English instead of Old Norse/English, something is off for her.
Gunnar has given Adaptational badass compared to his YYGDM self with showing magic abilities. Brynhildr is easily suspicious of the castle such as some kind of a foul scent, she is mad of being ridicule when wearing Gudrun’s dress from Gudrun, but is receiving training to recover her powers. But something is not right more as Brynhildr rushes to see in shock. Gudrun (Wulf-Edda) has succeeded what Gudrun (YYGDM-01) (and making her jealous/mad) failed, raping Sigurd to make Brynhildr mad. And calling Gudrun the Norse version of ‘whore’ is a big difference unlike YYGDM’s common English. Gudrun even plays the victim card of accusing Sigurd of raping her. Gunnar held Brynhildr hostage and he too is about to rape her, but Brynhildr stop him.
However, Gunnar, as in an illusion of him, warned that by already killing the illusion, reveals the horrid truth that the kingdom was already dead by a plague, and the inhabitants are zombies. This shifts the transition from this already gritty Norse to absolute horror. Brynhildr and Sigurd escape from this nightmarish infested kingdom. Gudrun comes to see the now tortured real Gunnar who screamed fearfully at the sight of the monster with his sister’s skin. Gudrun is clearly a walking nightmare fuel, revealing she come to contact with the dark matter we know off and caused the plague. With her brother no longer use to her, she kills him in such a cruel manner before burning down the kingdom and the zombies.
Brynhildr and Sigurd are healing each other’s emotional wounds and has consensual intercourse. Brynhildr begins to have true happiness, but that happiness does not last. Gudrun arrives and kills Sigurd and Grani. Then, she gives them and the injured Brynhildr a humiliating horse pyre as the bodies are horrifically burned to death. A Downer Ending compared to YYGDM’s. The ring is put on by Gudrun as it takes Brynhildr’s soul. From now on, Gudrun renames herself Kriemhild.
Back to the present, Akechi’s detective skills show signs of discovering more of Aslaug’s family bloodline to Brynhildr and Sigurd. There’s theories going on here.

There's some small differences from what I've read in Urban Legends. Also the otter skinning scene was pretty disturbing; no wonder the gag corner Takato got something more shitpost-like.
Pancake-kun is still Pancake-kun. Not much else to say here; later days!

Brynhildr is chosen to see who decides to end the king civil war. ‘Shockingly’, Brynhildr destroys both sides in bloodshed. Oh boy, this leads to Brynhildr vs. Odin. Honestly, I laugh and chuckle of their hateful pettiness, especially the Valkyrie attempts to make Allfather the Norse word of her ‘bitch’. Though, Brynhildr insulting her dead mother feels like a ‘Kick the Dog’. Brynhildr gets turned into a mortal, and her swearing revenge before she is imprisoned in her castle and went into a deep slumber like a Valkyrie baby. Awww, wait till she wakes up mad. With the deed done, Odin felt that he has avenge Sigrdrífa’s death/legacy.
Meanwhile, Loki has gotten Andvari’s ring and seeing the Dwarf become a black dragon. Then after killing and skinning a certain otter, Loki then gives the ring to that ‘otter’s father just to not have him kill the trickster. Sigurd makes his debut and goes on to slay the famous dragon of Norse Mythology. I like the proper introduction of the bird with expanded dialogue that warned Sigurd compare to YYGDM/VA’s, alongside the bird mentioned the maiden in the flaming mountain early before Reginn’s death (instead of after in YYGDM). Which, Reginn’s death here is more saddened and a scarier edge (remind of a certain Rivendell Jump Scare scene from Fellowship of the Ring that I intentionally skipped in rewatches) unlike YYGDM due to knowing he and Sigurd have a genuine family relationship before the ring corrupted the Dwarf.
A new character arrives to the audience that’s Baldr II, wonder if he’s some kind of a descendant of the god besides being close to Cheza. Also yeah, Tori remembers ‘Something Stupid’ that’s also familiar in your historical and personal creative differences…

On Today's installment just about everyone's a unlikable asshole, which makes it all the more House of Dragons Norse addition.
Mostly seems a lot like the previous Urban Legends version with even more pain and bloody misery...and more feedback from the current peanut gallery with some nods to Tolkin.
More Loki time I suppose, but Loki is going to Loki unless Mobius and the Time Variance Authority meddle.
Well, we will see what becomes of this Baldr 2...plot twist is he's really Balder 3 in disguise...but we will see...how messy things get next time.

I like how edgy this Norse story is so far; feels cleaner pacing-wise than the older one. Tori's tangent was unexpected, but I wonder if she was a closet fujoshi like her incarnation in another story.

And round two with the deep dive into Wulf-Edda...now even MORE like if George Martin made Westrous about the era of the Norse gods...and hell even the cast is aware of it at this point.
I suppose starting with the kid shows right off the back how far Odin had fallen...to bad Gorr was not in this reality he would to love going all God Butcher on this Odin even more then the Marvel ones.
So a lot of Valkyrie's...we will see who makes it to present time to see which of them are relevant to the present, Mist somehow is even more unhinged then the one who tangled with Takato, Sailor Moon and the rest.
So, after more plotting and sex we get a reaction from the group, and we get meta with Tori's time with fanfiction, to the point that it seems like self reflection...yah...reflecting on one's personal experiences on fanfiction? Well, we will see if that story path goes anywhere then a rant.
AND...with that we are at the end of this phase, lets see what the next phase brings.

This is the beginning of these Establishing Series Moments that yes, this is not the T-Teen that YuYuGiDigiMoon had in terms of Norse Mythology, oh no, but an M-Mature setting that clearly fits the original myths such as Asgard’s dark history rooted build on blood (And not the prideful heroes that modern stories depicted them). I like how you described Asgard’s stagnant state such as the once blue skies became gray, and being sickly. Asgard’s forces such as Thor and Víðarr destroy invaders of the other realms (While the YYGDM continuity has the mention of invaders, here in this continuity adapting the text shows the scene). Seeing Víðarr’s fighting style and making enemies explode reminds me of a Norse version of Kenshiro.
Then, Odin is mad and lectured his sons of having assistance. Even before that, we see the snarling Odin showing his brutality of wiping out the enemies. And thus, the Third Generation of the nine Valkyrie maidens have appeared in Allfather’s halls, as once former Valkyries before becoming Vamkyries. Unlike Brunhilde in YuYuGiDigiMoon; Brynhildr is shown to be crude, rage-filled (She’s the most angry character in your fanfics/official stories), and arrogant. Seeing Brynhildr’s anger is more frightening (and even hilarious) than Skuld (YYGDM-01) and even Kratos… :O This is the instance of seeing Brynhildr’s hatred towards Odin, and yes, she says the Norwegian meaning of fuck. Thrúd has a heartfelt reunion with her father. The lesbian Valkyries are always shown to be detestable, especially Skögul shows to hate her moderate sister. Mist has a nature of being flat-chested.
You went to great detail about the lives of the First and Second Generation Valkyries and their conflicts against Grímhildr the Unmoralisch. Though they defeated the witch and her forces in the end, it led to some sacrifices, the idealism of the Second Gen went on their separate ways, and Odin refusing to move forward in becoming so petulant has make Asgard stagnant. Brynhildr’s mother peacefully left Odin’s council, as she then gave birth to the most angriest character in your stories. Odin losing Brynhildr’s mother as a friend and the last light, makes him takes out all of his hatred and negativity towards Brynhildr, the one responsible for her death and view her as an anathema instead of the daughter of Sigrdrífa.
The Great Drekar have arrived in Asgard. My most fave of the three dragons is the Gehörnt Wivern. Eventually, the dragons are slain and are being eaten by the Asgardians in a celebration. The Valkyries’ couples have their love moments, eventually, Brynhildr devises a plan to overthrow our petty Allfather himself (I remember the term Allmother is use back in Valkyrie Homecoming/Cornerverse’s final chapter, this is the first time you finally use that term in a canon story).
And then Tori reveals her former fanfic friend going by Lazarus, which creative differences and a huge cussing fallout led to her giving up on fanfic writing. Well, it’s like this Lazarus guy doesn’t know how to deal with the real world here in spending his fixated time on a 1990s-early 2000s mega crossover anime that has no meaning other than becoming more pretentious overtime, that sounds familiar hmmm.

well that was quite the tale.
I know i've said this before, but you've definitely got more guts than I do, I couldn't try to write sex related content no matter how light It could be made.
I can relate about that fanfic rant, that happened to me when I was first starting out back in the mid 2000's, with a person who never actually helped in writing anything, but it didn't kill my interest in doing it at least.
Awesome stuff dude, looking forward to what comes next.

seeing Asgard is always cool reminds me of Saint Seiya which i've been watching alot mostly.
i think you do a fine job of differentiating between the lores myself.

Seems like the set-up chapter to the long flashback is the same but with the Advent Eight, Aslaug, and Sumi.
Got nothing else to say here: later days!

It seems Ann and Madeline's childbirths go as planned like in Legends, but the crew's dive into Wulf-Edda is a lot bigger this time for sure, indeed coming off as a mini novel, now it remains to be seen if things hook back up with the main plot better this time but only one way to find out so till then see you next time.
