Now that is a great introduction to the Wulf-Edda lore. Congrats on Ren and Ann gave birth to their kid! Ann’s labor is quite painful to see. Everyone falls asleep and into Yggdrasil where they explore the realm of seeing the fauna and meeting its natives. They are starting to learn about the Norse Mythology of this destroyed dimension.
Oh. ;) Tori and Hiroshi mentioned their unseen cousin and sister respectively, that’s so familiar.
The name of Jacob/Madeline’s son in this continuity, yes, this outright confirms that Alfred is imagined as a different person besides the different name from Walter in remind of AnM and AnGC are two separate/different continuities.

Well, a way to celebrate Christmas and the New Years is alright. At least some of the things I like are Rise of Skywalker (Thus completing the trilogy of on-screen scenes of characters watching movies (Broly, Endgame, and Rise of Skywalker)) and your idea of putting that wrestling event after New Years. Also nice seeing Aslaug being an innocent teen in comparison to the older cast, even being new to a new world except that Io is more experienced when Io was first exposed to the AnM dimension back in Book II.
Now onto another year for the protagonists.
And then a final scene of Kraka and Jinyo have a sparring match to see who’s the best. Mido and Kriemhild have different goals, one create a new world order (Mido) of superpower beings, the other involves chaos (Kriemhild). Futaba, I know that feeling about the Palpatine stuff. Nice to see Pancake-kun getting along with the newbie valkyrie; gives him something to do beyond being off-brand serial killer Ryuji. Wrestling social excursion leads to more ominous foreshadowing.
Meanwhile Mido and Kriemhild do not trust each other in the slightest. Will say the damaged reputation of the Vein Remnants seem to matter more than Mido getting his shit kicked in, since Pandora still trusts him.

Alright then if your mostly just copy and pasting the chapter from Urban Legends with a few minor changes I suppose I'll just copy and paste my review with a few minor changes then, ahem.
" Welp, time to get up to date with a holiday themed chapter.
Well...no battle with the Colonel this time...just right to the chicken...and so after a batch of KFC we are off to the main event, which is...Episode nine? Oh boy. ( Cracks neck...again)
The Disney trilogy...I have very VERY raw...bitter feelings about the Disney trilogy.
( And that's not changed 4 years later.)
My take, Lucas was more or less mislead by Disney, and as a long term fan of the EU timeline and the countless novels and games, it pained me deeply that those like Dash Rendar, Kyle Katarn, Kyp Durron, Tahiri Veila, Vestara Khair Mara Jade, Ben Skywalker, Jacen and Jaina Solo, entire eras such as
the Yuuzhan Vong and most of the Knights of the Old Republic " Darth Raven" era and so, SO many more were erased from being " Real" Star Wars all for the Messiah Rey and her side kick Finn, along with the pitiful joke that is Kylo Ren.
And the coup de grâce is throwing away what possibilities they could have had with Ren going full psyco dictator just to have Sidious casually be back only for Rey to own him all Avatar like because he was to dumb to stop throwing lighting so he only came back to take away everything Vader and Luke did making everyone but Rey look pathetically incompetent and making the galaxy more or less go full circle from Return of the Jedi only worst since things fell apart so easily...
Yah...I have a lot of strong feelings about what Disney did to Star Wars, so much that in the fourth section of my Cosmic Wars fanfic there was a arc where the old EU timeline and the Disney timeline had a clash thanks to a reality bender's game lol.
Any-who, I share most of Futaba's take on the movie lol, though honestly, I put Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones over it because I liked moments like Darth Maul, Qui-Gon Jinn, Jango Fett, Kenobi's moments and more then the few moments I did enjoy in Episode Nine.
( And I have very few hopes for whatever the hell episode 10 is...we need a Star Wars multiverse kind of thing...one day. Sorry but Mando has fallen off the rails thanks to Boba Fett and season 3's directionless ways sadly, Jedi Survivor is decent at least.)
Ahem, and after that the wrestling was fun, I liked the WWF for a while and guys like Hulk Hogan, Sting and others back in the day, lost passion for it when I realized its mostly scripted theatrics, oh well.
Well, the Yami Matter ( Now lead by Pandora) let the gang have a moment of piece but, hopefully that won't mean things will be hellish next time. We will see, till next time then.

The Org XIII has finally been revealed. Seems like the weird bodyguards and Kráka effectively function as Saix, Xigbar, and Xion in terms of importance. Part of me still dreads the Ready Player One Cognitive War, but as long as some of the more forgotten protags (Kakeguruis and Nioh descendants) get some glory in it I'll suck it up.
Akechi is still funny, but them's the breaks when you're the new Ryuji in terms of being a chew toy. Not much else to say, later days!

it sucks for the revenants having to battle those who dislike them all because of the actions of 1 man...
i guess they wouldn't be vamkyries if they didn't enjoy combat, having to leave must suck, but then again their mother seems terrifying as well.

Well not the most stellar debut but with the help of the Phantom Thieves and co Kraka endures her debut, cool I guess. Mostly the status quo holds up...though we see a new masked figure emerges from the shadows...Aya...sigh. ( Cracks neck and has Sharingan eyes emerge) Here we go again...lets see if more build up will lead to this...plot point to lead to less of a train wreck this time.
Anywya seems like we are in store for some major family drama so, going to be a bitter ride one way or another, till next time.

Kráka retreats upon being called by her mother’s voice, which reveals to be a new villainess named Kriemhild, who is just abusive to her daughter for both refusing to obey and out of sadism. Hifumi sees some image of Miki, but she’s gone that something is off.

And so, the final book of Akane no Mai (and the sole active priority fan story left) properly begins: Fictional Edification. The semi-final fandom story (AnM related remaining anthologies do not count since they’re part of AnM/Book III’s tie-ins and are not considered true/proper stories) ever (first Book III chapter uploaded on January 2024) before YuYuGiDigiMoon’s Wrath of the Defiants Chapter 1 (book end for December 2024, this is the long term agenda of the true start in breaking the real-life curse following ending the fanfic curse).
I’m surprised that unlike the first two books, this last one has Hifumi recapping the previous events up to the part of Lavenza announcing a new ally is joining. Not just that, but finally using Persona Orchestra music from the 20th Anniversary Concert of what the feeling is for AnM’s proper series finale feeling compare to AnGC’s series fauxnale.
First off, Tori mentioned something from back in her teenage life that she was a former fanfiction writer, oh boy, this is going to be an uncomfortable long story if this is revealed. Tori and Hiroshi has found a young girl going by Aslaug. Thus, Aslaug is introduced to the Phantom Thieves and allies. Jacob being a Norse Myth fan, like it’s a coincidence that it’s not just referencing Jack’s Blood Code is Heimdall.
Yeah, society is giving mixed (alongside those on the hateful side) reception on Revenants, and like the characters say, thank god that Mido didn’t reveal their actual faces in public. The public thinks the Revenants are the traditional vampire kind, but obviously they are not, though they still need to be careful of stakes pierce through the hearts at full force. Leonard angrily mutters the most of wanting death to the bastard.
Meanwhile back in the Code Vein dimension, a mysterious figure is speaking to Ildiko and Fredegund of the news, and so this dark figure is sending her daughter to confront Aslaug.
Suddenly, this dark being’s daughter named Kraka arrives to be the starting opponent of Book III.

And, so we are introduced to Asaug...she's...ok...giving me Sailor Mini Moon vibes in some ways...or maybe Mini Mini moon from Stars...feels kind of late in the game to introduce someone new for the final innings of this series but, we will see how this goes.
And so the " wild gals" are wrecking things like they are Godzilla so lets see if the Phantom Thieves and pals can shut them down before everyone needs to get a increase in there insurance next time or something.

Code Vein vampires are a special brand of creature, but them's the breaks for the anime Dark Souls characters. Not sure if a certain Xehanort waifu edition is getting promoted to "real" final boss; she'd be pretty alright despite being mostly Kanashi Seishin/Sensui Yaldy tier.
