Random thought. Liz has a significantly more ruthless streak in this story than Beth from First Contact does. If Liz learns about the Potter houses ‘indentured servants’ how quickly will she go from, “Britian is a shithole” to “Im going to burn down the government”

Huh, good chapter. Pretty anxiety-inducing, but still. Came a bit soon, I would have expected it would take longer before anything came biting at Severus. I really hope you're not going to kill him, it's enough that Rowling did it. And Liz doesn't even remember that dream she had, does she? Ouch, she is not having a good day...

The bit with her leaning against Síomha's mind for the calm was meant probably like a crutch to calm herself down, but somehow I keep jumping to a thought that it might be the closest Liz will ever come to proper Occlumency shields, with herself being unable to occlude. I wonder is a contact with Síomha's Occlumency shield could work a bit like a placebo - like kind of "borrowing" some kind of effect for her own use, for her own mind.

Attending Order of the Phoenix meeting, and for some reason playing much nicer than I would have expected her to. At least she got a book out of it.

Well, isn't Dorea cute, wondering how Liz will fare when she won't be able to use proxies anymore... she's known her for a few years and she still doesn't seem to get that Liz won't give a shit...

Networking ongoing it seems, though Tamsyn as a teacher at Hogwarts... can't imagine that.

but more spelling errors than normal.
otherwise greatcongrats on the recovery,
not sure who is more looking forward to the blood alchemy ltz or the community. your to see it soon.
though would mind a talk with liz and tamsyn about travers, and her explaining that she is "using" the order to get rid of someone ahe finds to be reprehensible rather than break the truce

This is my favourite story on this site. (that is still in progress at least) Iwish you a speedy recovery. :)

Enjoyed the chapter as usual.

I will say that much of it felt just slightly off-kilter.
1) Liz goes to the Order meeting because:
2) Sev wants her to go, and convinces her by pointing out that:
3) They will be talking about her, and maybe trying to make decisions about her.

I had to go back and reread the top part because I'd missed points 2 and 3 the first time, which left me at the end wondering wtf she was there for.

But... it still seems like a bad idea. Liz went to the meeting. The Order meeting. She wasn't invisible in the background, she sat at the table and participated. People saw her there, people interacted with her. She was not (in this text) specially introduced as not-really-an-Order-member, just "everybody knew who she was". But part of the running point of the whole story is that the world doesn't know who Liz really is, so do the people in the meeting - even Dumbledore - know that she isn't there to be a member? Who will they tell that she's on board with Dumbles?

Now Liz isn't quite always wise or savvy enough to anticipate details like this. That's fine. That Severus hasn't considered the optics involved feels a little (or a lot) sketchy. That he's so... blase through the meeting feels really weird - likely Dumbledore isn't going to want him to try to spy this time, but why he's willing to plant his flag on the Order's side this time hasn't been well-established in this setting. At best he's putting himself into a position where a lot of powerful people will consider him a target.

And why Liz couldn't trust Sev to defend her interests is also strange. "She will treat watchers as hostile. No, she doesn't want a fidelus, you idiot. I've made sure she has good fallback plans, no, you can't know what they are. Scan her wards and she'll sic the whole village on you. Are you trying to get her killed?" Liz knows she doesn't want to be in a room with all the Light bigots (and doesn't that send the wrong message too, if she doesn't push back at Doge just a little?), and doesn't this lock her into going to more in the future?

Tamsyn is just the punctuation mark in this weird communication loop - instead of things leaking and taking a week to reach Voldy, she'll just give her report when she heads back. Maybe this level of Liz involvement is okay, maybe it isn't, but the moment Liz sat down at that table it's up to the other side to figure out how to react.

Maybe this is all is already baked in to your outline, I dunno. But it just seems off.

Still, I'm looking forward to more. Love all your settings but this one is def top 2.

Aha! I'm finally all caught up and can take a break from what had turned into an addiction. Hope you get well soon, I'm curious to see what happens in 5th year, and I'm really looking forward to some more Children of the Gods, it's sooooo good.

Get well soon. Thanks for another great chapter. :)

Huh, the more you paint Albus Dumbledore's picture, the more he does seem like an idiot.

About time Dorea pulled her head out.
