just use the names from tolkien. no one will know the difference. also if it was stated it would have been in the second book on the journey form tronjheim to ellesmira. eragon visits a dwarven temple in that period. the only other time a dwarven god is mentioned, that i remember, is when the new dwarven king is crowned.

Gûntera was against the creation of people to inhabit Alagaësia: later on, though, after Helzvog defied his order and created the dwarves, Gûntera created the elves.

Helzvog, god of stone. He was most beloved of the dwarves. Helzvog created the dwarf from stone.

Don't change the name, Fëanor is fine. If a LOTR crossover happens, this can be used as a good way to confuse enemies, or something funny (like that episode of CSI where there was a John the Black that was white and John the White that was a Black person). Also, it's not as if in both the real world and LOTR two people can't have the same name (think about Ecthelion, first the gondolindrim elf, then two Stewards of Gondor; Arathorn, two Dunedain chieftains), or someone can't have two or more names (Elu the elf, also known as Thingol and Ëlwe, Elessar also known as Aragorn II) or nicknames (Mairon - Sauron, Melkor - Morgoth, Olórin -Mithrandir/Gandalf/Incánus/Tharkûn/, Aragorn -Strider), etc.
To sum it up, you don't need to change his name, even if you were forced to discern between two people named the same, you can always add a nickname or something.

Ha! That last sentence just blew my mind. Out of every ally to be sent to Feanor I did not expect the house elves to be counted among them. Thanks again P-B for another great chapter. I don't think you should change Feanor's name just because it's a Tolkien reference. If you do an eventual LOTR crossover in the future I'm sure you can figure some way around the Feanor name issue. Mabey, If Feanor gets transported to the LOTR universe for your crossover you can have him regain is Harry potter memories and he will just refer to himself as Harry there. IDK, I'm sure things will get figured out. Anyway, good luck with your next chapter, and as always have fun writing.

And OMG Dobby is following Harry to the new world, I really don't want any other HP characters to show up though but it is your call as a writer. So please do whatever it takes to make the story move according to your plans.

I think Arya would be a good choice for Harry and I don't mind you adding Hedwig into the story if that's what you mean but I would rather you not add any other human characters from HP, so that's my thoughts on the matter. I enjoyed the first chapter, can't wait to read more

Second, will the dwarves be a bit offended about working with the riders of old? Or maybe surprised about the born anew as brothers of Fëanor part?
