I honestly expected Randall to fake not knowing how to unwrap a sandwich or unscrew a water bottle to trick the rehabilitation center people into thinking that he's just an animal, so they wouldn't upgrade the security on him. The mutant salamander can unwrap a sandwich! And unscrew a water bottle! And speak English! — there goes any chance of faking stupidity.

Reading the first part of this story alone, made me nearly cry upon seeing Randall's plight and seeing those pieces of trash beat him with that shovel. Poor Randall. You've got my interest and I'm really digging this story, good job on it! I'm excited to see how it progress and what will be in store for Randall.
