Julius: I went back and forth on whether I liked him or not quite a bit while I was reading this. I feel his pain, losing a sibling. Not that I've ever lost one but I can imagine it would be so hard. I don't think I'd want revenge the same way he does though. I sort of liked him for being a bit of a different career but when he said he didn't want to feel bad for killing other tributes that made him a lot less likable. Julius isn't the strongest it seems but he might be smart and he is old enough to survive at least a few days.
Vita: She comes off a little rough around the edges at first since most of what we see is her interactions with her parents and they're super controlling. I don't blame her for being upset about that honestly. I like her girl next door type of thing where she doesn't like to wear make up and wore pants to the reaping. She's got plenty of career attributes but mostly ditched the more annoying ones making her a pretty likable and strong career.

1) I'm guessing Julius's brother's name is Nero and he died in the games.
2) Vita's parents opened a training center because they were inspired when Vita's aunt won and wanted to train her for the games.

Glint: Not to take anything away from you because you still wrote this very well but he is literally the most stereotypical career I've seen in an SYOT. His family and personality are exactly what you expect in a career with 0 exceptions. That will make him very fun to dislike and root against though. I don't even expect him to have a great chance of winning. If you're so worried about racking up kills, you'd eventually expose yourself to an unexpected attack.
Lyla: It's interesting that neither of these tributes seem to mention being chosen volunteers but rather seem to chose to volunteer on their own (apart from the Academy). Lyla doesn't seem super confident in her ability to win but that might not be the worst thing as she'll respect her opponents more and not underestimate them. I'm getting definite Katniss and Prim vibes from her and her sister. Their relationship is cute. I was going to say I don't love her reason for volunteering when I started reading her PoV but it felt like it made more sense the more I read. She does need to get her sisters away from her dad. No one should have to live with that. I really like her, maybe even a love for now. Also random but her name is very close to my tribute. I'm glad her an i instead of y in her name now.

Mist: It sounds like he was dealt some pretty crappy cards in life. Like all low cards and no royals at all. Deaf sister, alcoholic mom and wheelchair bound dad? He's probably used to taking care of this so I bet he's pretty grown up for a 12 year old. For now he's a like. His friend sounds cute and nice too though.
Laila: Ahhh I've always been thinking SYOTs need a few more girls like this. Not that Hunger Games should be over sexualized but let's be honest there's a decent amount of girls who do crave attention from guys. I was always curious how that would go over within the scope of the games. She turned out a little more sexual and a little less smart than I anticipated but I still love her. Her relationship with her cousin is great and I'm glad I gave her that. It helps bring out Laila's personality too. I can't wait to see how she interacts with others and who she crushes on.

No worries on update speed. Real life matters more but I'm glad to see you're back. On to the tributes and questions!
Yatsu: First off, it's interesting that I cannot begin to spell his name then his sister has one of the most common names there is. What's up with that? haha oh wait, he addresses that, cool! I still like her name more, he sounds like a dog breed. Interesting story on his relationship with his parents. I could see him growing on me but I'm not a big fan of people with anger issues. It is nice that he wants to work on it. I also like his relationship with his sister, she really seems like an awesome person to be there for him. Much more impressed with her than with Yatsu. He might be a strong tribute if he can control his emotions though.
Anya: I liked the descriptions of her girlfriend. I've never heard anyone describe hair with hazelnut as a color but it gives vivid picture. Anya sounds cute too with her super curly fluffy hair. I don't get a great glimpse of her personality but she's definitely forgiving to still say she loves her father and thinks he'll eventually come around. She's definitely a like with more potential to move up. She sounds like she's fast too but she might not have any combat skill from what I can see.

2) Anya's father hates her because she likes girls and he's a very angry, hateful person.

I really like Jona as a character. I pretty much support his decision to volunteer. Yeah, it’s sad it’s come to that, but he makes a good point. There’s not many other options for him. If he’s a wanted criminal, it’s just a matter of time before the peacekeepers get to him and probably execute him. And yeah, I guess there’s a slim possibility that he could redeem himself, but that’s probably about as likely as him actually winning the Hunger Games. And winning the Hunger Games would be more rewarding...all that to say, I’m really interested in what happens to him, and I’m looking forward to reading more.
I like Terracotta’s backstory (and her name). Will she continue the family tradition of dying, or will she break the streak? Sorry, I know that’s morbid, but I had to. XD

Jona: I'm starting to notice a trend from SYOTs on this site, the vast majority of homeless teenagers are very angry and seem to hate people. I strongly dislike Jona's perspective that Kian isn't trying to do something about his homelessness by going into the Hunger Games. They're not at all prepared for it so he's really the stupid one. Also I keep reading it as Joana and picturing him being a girl so that's awkward.
Terracotta: She has a horse which is unique and also means she's very well off and probably has other useful skills. She seemed like a really nice person as well. She could have not shaken Jona's hand as some tributes do but she did. I think she'd get quite a ways in the games but she probably wouldn't be strong enough to do so alone and will need a good outer district alliance. I like her though.
