Thank you for this. One of my pet peeves is the Hollywood way in which the Goodies kill the Baddies and then they just get on with their lives as if nothing ever happened. It's wrong in so many ways. Glad you put the score right here.

Dear Linda, Another good portrayal of the friendship between king and steward! I especially liked the image of both of these powerful men getting covered with mud like two small boys playing, and then laughing loud and long at the sight of each other. The robin's nest with eggs inside, an image of both life and hope, is also a wonderful way to end the story. I'm glad your muse has returned! Thanks for sharing this story. Sincerely, Darkover
