I love the trick of him throwing his voice so that it sounded as if the teacup and fork were speaking to her! Reminds me of the Disney movie, just a little, “Don’t believe me? Ask the dishes!”

So glad this story is posting updates again! It's a fascinating blend of Bronte, Leroux, and Villeneuve, and I think you capture the atmosphere of lurking danger and mystery in your setting quite well. Excited to see where this goes.

Uh-oh, be careful what you wish for, Christine...
Great chapter. I enjoyed both the lesson and Christine's exchange with Auguste. Looking forward to the next chapter you post!

Love Erik throwing his voice! And hooray, they are talking again! Lovely chapter.
I am so sorry to be so late in commenting - real life has been busy, and I am way behind on my fic reading.
I got a notification that you had also updated The Claim, but when I clicked, I got an error code. Did you take the chapter down or is ffn being weird?
Thank you, as always, for your wonderful stories.

Lol. Oh, Erik and his sense of humor! At least they're resuming their lessons. It's a fresh start.

Thanks for the little tid bit about the song 'Oh Holy Night. I never knew that it was a french song.
I love how you show Christine's music lessons.
I hope you will continue to show them and how Christine grows as a vocalest.

What was the aria that Christine sings in this chapter? And, I was wondering when we were going to see the candle stick!

The last time I review this chapter was of therd one. After that, I became drawn into other fandoms and sort of forgot about this story.

That was some singing lesson! I would feel disoriented as well from the abrupt orders and asking to have a book on my head to help with my posture. But I love that it eventually built up to Erik standing behind her and being so close with his instruction. And he is already feeling some contrition for making her cry. I also think it was cool to include the French text of "Oh, Holy Night." Can't wait to see how the rest of the lessons progress!

Great chapter! Erik just doesn't know what to do with Christine's emotions - or his own. I love that the lessons started out with him barking commands and then became sensual. I am sorry to hear about your computer problems but I am glad that they have been worked out. Fingers crossed for no more issues. Thank you for the update!
