Very good chapter. It took quite a while for her to build up her courage but the important thing is she did and got to where she needed to go. Just a bit of a note when she said "I don't want friendship, I want you" in my head I added the word "just" before "friendship" since I have always felt he is her best friend. I was sorry to hear the ice cream melted but it was sacrificed for a very good cause. I look forward to the epilogue.

Rick snooping in the kitchen, and then calling Alexis to bring ice cream is totally Rick. Having Kate's brain and her Mom's voice both giving her a hard time is brilliant. I also love the last line of this chapter.

Wow, in the end she got there. I think your approach of having her needing to regroup several times was right on target. Looking forward to the epilogue.

As was said nicely done and well paced. Of course the Castle writers would have put a half dozen more angst breaks in this chapter taking nearly a season to resolve but it is nice to not see that and let the characters do what they should do naturally.

Read the entire story so far... And I gotta admit, not bad at all. I never liked how Castle and Beckett's relationship was near the point of falling apart because of all those kept secrets. You are doing a good job at makimg then understand why they had to.

I love this story so much! Waiting a week just about kills me but I know you have a life too I like seeing them work through everything because I feel like in the show they didn’t have the time to really have them hash everything out fully. Keep up the good work!
