An interesting shaping of the lore. reminded my of a zombie outbreak, but even cuts turn deadly. Really it's more like the chimeras all have the same poison with the same effects. If they can counter the poison, then it's just a matter of killing and burning the beasts. The insect issue was well spotted, that seemed more likely to spread the disease if they failed than the chimeras swimming the ocean to other lands.
Hope he makes it, he has the nerve to make the hard but right choice, i hope he gets to live to see it realised. The fact it took so much longer for him to show symptoms makes me think he stands a chance, since clearly he has some resistance. Perhaps him surviving could lead to a vaccine coming from him? my memory on the subject is fuzzy, but i think that's how some vaccines like the smallpox vaccine were created, from people who survived the affliction.

Light cavalry has kite shield, crosbow and saber, while heavy has heater lance? That's what quick google says for the Renessaince, because fully armored knight doesn't need kite for the leg protection.
Light infrantry should also use heaters, not kite?

Since I don’t expect much surprises from the war in Basilisk Isles, I’m more interested in what happening with Aegon as Jace decision to take the Basilisk Isles have made House Targaryen uneasy, especially since they’ve being vague on the real reason for doing so. As this result in Gael having Aegon be forced to realize that he don’t trust House Velaryon despite his feelings towards Leana and Daeron, along with the fact that they may not pick him over their house if he does marry Laena. I can’t wait to see if my prediction about Aegon, Laena and Daeron future relationship will hold true.

Awesome chapter! Yeah, i guess it won't be long now until Baela - and Rhaena- start to think like Viserra, especially after they have children. By then Daemon and Gael's grasp on them will hang by a thread and it would only take Damon and his wife making a fool out of themselves once again to shatter it, making them become more Velyrions then Targaryens...

Very good chapter, can't wait to see how the war goes in the Basilisk Isles. The reaction from House Targaryen of the Velaryons again going to war will be hilarious. I loved the descriptions of the City of Tyrosh, it truly is the Queen of Cities. Like the restaurant of Denys and Tirina, hope we see more characters like them. Would've been nice to see the Synod in action, it better be action packed with screaming/slapping/etc. . Nice pics and descriptions of the Armed Forces of the Velaryon State. Keep up the good work.
