Having reached this point in the story, I can only say that it is the best I have read in terms of Steven Universe fanfics.
Although I'm not completely convinced by seeing firearms in a series like this, Marcus seemed like an interesting character with great development and his relationship with the rest of the characters makes him feel like part of the series.
Without a doubt, his relationship with Lapis is what I liked the most, it is so well developed that they have become my favorite couple in the series, there is no scene with the two of them together that is not cute.
I am very interested in how you will continue the story and how you will develop the film and future when they come in due time.
Lots of encouragement and a big hug.
PS: I recently finished watching kipo and the age of wonderbeasts, a Netflix animated series with an amazing story and background. If you haven't seen it believe me you'll love it and seeing how well you write your fanfics, I'm sure you'd do a great job with this one.

Okay first off, I'm glad that everything is settling down for you. It's been a rough couple of months.
Also the new information about Jade is interesting, new generation of Frontline soldiers, very interesting.
Also I love the exasperation Marcus has with the Rubies, he just radiated "I just can't" vibes.
An excellent chapter and pacing of it as well.
I can't wait to see more.
