I like chapters where characters mainly talk. I like how Splinter gently approaches the sensitive subject. And doesn't judge either child but remains us that problems can't be avoided forever. Who knew Mikey could be sensitive about it too? sorry for not reviewing sooner great work.

short but sweet. realistic too in my opinion, though I would've enjoyed seeing a little aftermath of April and Donnie's conversation from the last chapter. Next chapter she asked hopefully?good work all the same

I love the compassion splinter shows April in this chapter. You can tell he loves her. Donatello too, but he still needs to learn tact. Wonderful job, loved both chapters.

I like how even before April comes home you see Splinter's concern and worry for her. And getting a little more of his back story is nice.

Thanks for the shout out. Every chapter is a . Liked the subtle reference to Lilo and Stitch with Donnie pretending gravity is increasing on him to goof with April. But seriously, this chapter shows how April while caring about her adopted family is still willing to take risks to pay back the ones she holds responsible for her not having her parents in her life. Will there be a sequel story? Nice inclusion of Kitty too.

I like how the characters really show how they care about each other. And how April seems to have a way with Splinter to convince him to do things he's on the fence about. But you can see the love she has for her adoptive father.

This was worth the wait! It's amazing! The emotional scenes are incredible! Kinda wish Splinter had a scene but still good. I know that I miss my father and sometimes have a hard time coping. It's always good to have friends who will listen. Take your time writing it's your story and write at your pace no need to rush

Dude...it was awesome of you to post this. Seriously, there's this and there's "Encounters" by wyctchen-and-stychen (which, if you haven't read, I highly recommend!). There's so few good and believable April-grows-up-with-the-turtles AU's made, especially with her and Donnie subplotting as a couple. The inclusion of her with the tessen, the quirks and interests they have with the topside world, the way Donnie slowly realizes and manages his feelings, it's wonderful! And however likely the completion of this fic it was a pleasure to have read regardless. Glad you put it up. Thanks for sharing!

You have a good pacing to your story. I remember very little of the original comic TMNT and have certainly not kept up with the modern iterations of these beasts. However, I do remember the wise calm and focus of Splinter. You seem to capture this very well OneLittleSpark18. Well done. Keep writing and using your talents for God and good.
