Why hasn't Harry told his grandfather about the demon rift? Now that he's already aware of his heritage and dreams it doesn't really make sense to keep it secret.

This is a bit ridiculous, what kind of moron doesn't have a Will when living in a warzone if they've got a chance to prepare one? Of course that is ignoring the fact that they decided to stay in said warzone, as well as participte in the war...I prepared a Will before i turned 18, and I didn't even have a child, or significant funds...

You were weaving a really interesting tale and doing a decent job juggling everything; I'm sad there won't be more to read, but I really enjoyed what I did read - just a shame you couldn't at least get the heartwarming mini-arc done. Poor girl is now eternally in limbo.

I don't get why people like to mention things like being a Lord, but then immediately undercut it with embarrassment and insisting that it doesn't matter. Like "Oh, yes, we may have vast influence, wealth, notoriety, and history, but it doesn't mean anything! We're just like everyone else!". Or "Oh, yes, this character may have godlike power, but please, don't call them sir! They hate being treated like they're better than anyone else!"
It's trying to have one's cake, and eating it, too. You either are so far above other people that you should acknowledge it, or you are not. Humble-bragging is far more arrogant and infuriating for the lower people than simply acknowledging the reality of the situation, and it's an unnatural modernist notion, on top of that, born of weak and spineless morals.
